Some living champs have undeniable influence in the boxing world, and their fights continue to attract massive attention. With their control over the ring—such as forcing referee changes mid-fight, surprising opponents, or even not following instructions/rules—it raises the question: Could some boxers be backed by major gambling companies so they have more power and control over the ring? (I'm not generalizing.)

Given their status and the huge amount of money involved in these events, it wouldn’t be surprising if a big player in the gambling industry is behind them. What do you think? Could their exhibition tours be more than just boxing entertainment?

PS: This is just speculation and not based on any confirmed reports.

You probably posted this about reading/watching what happened at Floyd Mayweather's exhibition rematch against John Gotti III. Anyway, who knows if these companies are directly or indirectly connected to these fighters and the results of fights. What's clear is that fighters/players were caught rigging their own fights/matches.

~ Could their exhibition tours be more than just boxing entertainment?
If only for entertainment, bookies wouldn't open lines for these matches.

yes its more than just entertainment. its scamming people to watch them fight when they know already the result particularly floyd vs gotti.  i don't hve any idea who this gotti is. i'm almost sure gotti is not a boxer but just a fan of floyd. eager to just make himself known to the TV.

the fight happened in mexico and gotti being from a gambino, i'm sure no particular information could go out to tell us what really happened. some article says floyd fired a referee. lol that's kinda real man who runs the game right?

I don't think that casinos are willing to backed exhibitions fight,

a. they don't know if it is going to be a hit or miss, casinos are in the business of making money, they have the house edge why venture on business that they might lose in the end.

b. Usually this exhibitions matches are being handled by the boxers themselves, like Jake Paul, he has a promotional company named MVP and then partnered with Netflix to produce the fight like against Tyson. Same with Floyd, he has his own boxing company and so he negotiate his own fight. And that's why he was able to switch referee in the middle of the fight against Gotti III. Imagine that, it hasn't been done before in exhibition or professional fights.

c. Casino is already making money from this fights as they have listed this in their platform whether online or offline. The only thing that casinos can do is sponsored fighters like Adensanya by Stake or some football clubs by Sportsbet.io.

well i think so because i have seen many boxers talk about match fixing and some of them having to turn it down because it might bring death to their careers no matter how big the money is so yes we can expect that some boxers are backed by powerful people

yup a lot of exhibition tours are promotional and profit driven they will make sure that huge attention is on them but it does not necessarily mean that it’s fixed already so i am saying that yes it is possible that it’s manipulated but i bet not all of them are

Do you think gambling site would feature whom that doesn't have control over their act, character and comportment over there in the ring? No, because I don't think so. Such boxer or wrestler would keep wasting lots of resources and can be easily being influence over any little slight mistake or issues over the openent. So in my speculation only the some champion who are known

Ok in the case of Floyd changing the referee in the middle of the fight? His company could be the one hosting this event and so he has total control over it and not major gambling casinos.

The casino's involvement here is that they offer betting lines for boxing fans and that is already a big money for them without this casino involving in the promotion of the fight.
