Fraudsters will never run out of ideas to always study the condition of their victims, so if we are not careful we will definitely fall into their trap, because of the sophistication of fraudsters, sometimes even those of us who are careful can still be fooled, if they are neat in approaching their targets
Totally right.
We should all stay vigilant during any case that seems too good to be true ;D
That way, our funds will be protected.
Alert and always be careful is the key not to be rolled out of their traps, it must be remembered that this is an active work done because they really do that to enrich themselves and their colleagues. It cannot be blamed if they do that but instead we have to protect ourselves to always do the analysis correctly before we are completely convinced of what we do, so as not to get caught in their traps.

The problem is that scammers always appear with new faces and methods. People involved in crypto get scammed at least once in their crypto journey, no matter how experienced they are. I was scammed a couple of months ago by phishing. It's not like I didn't know how phishing works. However, it happened because I did not double-check the URL before connecting my wallet.

Welcome to the Victims Club in the cryptocurrency industry. I am sure that your story is not an isolated one as there are many people who already experienced the same and that terrible feeling of being a victim is not something to desire. You are right, the problem is that scammers and hackers are always finding new strategies to victimize people and crypto platforms. Imagine this: if they can get in and hack sites with strong security measures in place, how much more people like us? Until this time, nobody can provide the security that is 100% fool-proof as hackers and scammers can really find the weakest points and exploit them for good. The only thing we can do is to be so extra careful and to triple check things before we click go.

Hackers and scammers are smart people who take advantage of our laziness. I suggested others check the website URL properly before they connect their wallet, but I wasn't able to do that for myself because I thought I wouldn't be in such a situation. Just because we are overconfident that we won't be hacked or scammed, we fall for these scams.

Nobody can say they are 100% protected. People suggest using the Linux operating system because hackers usually do not target these operating systems. Most of the malware is for Windows operating systems. Yet, you will see cases where a user of the Linux operating system was also scammed.

The most important thing, IMO, is staying informed about the latest types of scams to protect the investments being made. Then, those sophisticated scams can be revealed and not victimize people again.

I think being aware is the most essential thing to prevent it possibly happening.

Scams are prevalent throughout the cryptocurrency space, affecting all blockchains and networks. Now, even the Bitcoin network is vulnerable through Ordinals.
I think the most effective way is to conduct thorough research before investing or sending cryptocurrency.
If a particular coin's value is rapidly increasing, it's natural to experience FOMO, which can potentially lead to regret. But by conducting thorough research, you can determine the safety and reliability of interacting with or investing in such coins.

Here's the sentence rewritten with minimal changes to maintain the original tone and style:
Scams are prevalent throughout the cryptocurrency space, affecting all blockchains and networks. Now, even the Bitcoin network is vulnerable through Ordinals.

I don't know what you mean, scams are not going to affect blockchains and networks. If you talk about the Bitcoin network, Ordinals are clogging the mempool. I don't think it will fall on the scam though, it's simply a deliberate way to attack the network and it's integrity.

I think the most effective way is to conduct thorough research before investing or sending cryptocurrency.

Yes, it's called DYOR (Do Your Own Research), so that you can somewhat know which project looks to pull a scam and which one is not. As for the price to go up in short amount of time, it might be attributed to pump and dump. FOMO is different, it's the initial hype of one project and then gradually, because of investors fatigue, it will lost it's luster, thus the price going down hard and then investors look for the next hype.

I mean scams are rampant in all blockchains and networks. It's affecting them in a way that people can't actually trust any kind of smart contracts. Like making the decentralization not really useful but as a good tool to create compromised tools that process irreversible transactions.

I completely agree. Hackers and scammers are smart and take advantage of us when we are not careful. It is funny that we tell others to be careful but sometimes we do not listen to our own advice. When we are too confident we can get hacked or scammed. Using Linux computer might help but it is not guarantee.

Nobody is completely safe from hackers and scammers. We need to always be careful and take steps to protect ourselves. We should stay informed and watch out for potential threats in online world.

Fraudsters always spread all their tricks and not only target newbies but all users, sometimes our carelessness will make us trapped in their tricks. Newbies are more often fooled because of lack of knowledge and experience,
Carelessness and quick actions or decisions without reading and thinking twice are what lead to scams, and that’s exactly what scammers target. I agree with your point that they’re targeting every user, whether a newbie or an expert, and honestly, there’s no way for scammers to know if someone’s a newbie or an expert.

I wasn’t specifically talking about newbies or experts either. What I meant is they target users with big portfolios and keep going after them until they get something. Even people with large portfolios can fall victim to these scams because of carelessness. Like that one person who lost millions of DAI he seemed like an experienced user, but due to a moment of carelessness, he got scammed.

Video scam occurring most especially on youtube, newbies have to be informed that not everything they come across wit online are genuine and true, those with the intention of scam will have their own plan and method of operandi to use, and once we fall in for such attempt, then we are already scammed, but no matter how the influencers on youtube make a promotion, that could not be a driving force on us in going for such.

I am just concerned at the rate newbies are carried away by the celebrity and influencer scams on youtube. Most of the youtube shows are not real but for the fact that these known faces and names are the one doing the video promotion, it makes them fall quickly for the scams and they thinking that the projects they are promoting are real. Most at times the celebrities do not have clues of what they are promoting, they just get deals and fail to do their due diligence on the deals and lead their followers into scam. After which they come publicly to apologize claiming they had no idea what it was all bout. Now is just unfortunate that  their account being hacked and used to promote scam project.

Nobody is completely safe from hackers and scammers. We need to always be careful and take steps to protect ourselves. We should stay informed and watch out for potential threats in online world.

Yeah. Another important thing is to be updated with the latest trends and what is happening. As we know, scammers come up with new ideas every time. One of my friends accepted a friend request from a random Indian guy on Facebook, and a couple of minutes later, the account started a video call. My friend accepted it even though he didn't know who was behind that account.

After a few hours, that account sent him a deep fake porn video of my friend and started to blackmail him. Fortunately, my friend shared it on a Facebook post, and I learned about it. He is a boy, yet he is confused by that incident. Imagine what would have been the case if the same thing happened with a girl. It is essential to be aware of recent scam methods so you don't fall for them.

The most important thing, IMO, is staying informed about the latest types of scams to protect the investments being made. Then, those sophisticated scams can be revealed and not victimize people again.

I think being aware is the most essential thing to prevent it possibly happening.

I totally agree.
It's that and + being responsible for yourself.
Many things lurk for your funds in the dark ;D
