Nobody is completely safe from hackers and scammers. We need to always be careful and take steps to protect ourselves. We should stay informed and watch out for potential threats in online world.

Yeah. Another important thing is to be updated with the latest trends and what is happening. As we know, scammers come up with new ideas every time. One of my friends accepted a friend request from a random Indian guy on Facebook, and a couple of minutes later, the account started a video call. My friend accepted it even though he didn't know who was behind that account.

After a few hours, that account sent him a deep fake porn video of my friend and started to blackmail him. Fortunately, my friend shared it on a Facebook post, and I learned about it. He is a boy, yet he is confused by that incident. Imagine what would have been the case if the same thing happened with a girl. It is essential to be aware of recent scam methods so you don't fall for them.

These scams are real and the scammers are really not letting go of the ideas they've been developing to making sure they get people scammed. Few days ago I received a mail from an unknown source. Although it was filtered and sent to my Junk box where I saw it. A scammer sending a mail trying to blackmail me to sending him Bitcoin and throwing threats that I do not say anything or think of tracking him because if I do the whole world would  see my clips. I laughed at him because all that they wrote are just lies upon lies and nothing true about it..

The Scammer wasn't smart though because there was nothing backing the threat. I just deleted the mail and blocked the contact immediately. This is the extent they could get to scam people.

This is a pretty common scam attempt that the scammer made, and it's an old method. If you search on Google about it, you will see a lot of Reddit threads. Basically, the scammers copy and paste the same email to a lot of people saying they have your video clips of jerking while watching porn and something like that. They say that they have been monitoring you for a long time, and they have your private images and videos, but they never provide you with examples of what they have.

This is a pretty old and common scam attempt. People should never send a penny to these scammers. Once you pay a single dollar, they will start asking for more, similar to the ransomware virus scammers. Even if they have your photos or videos, you never know if they will delete it or not.

I had the same mail, or a mail about mining BTC and having mined 2 or 3 BTC ;D
Those are such cheap tricks but, they do work sometimes, I imagine, unfortunately.

😂😂🤣🤣 Very funny though what you have said is nothing different from the truth. This is exactly what their messages are all about. They want you to believe their lies then they put fear in you and yet they have no proof or evidence to whatever they are saying and wanting you to believe.
They just copy and paste and in some cases they fail to edit the name of the person they are sending the the mail to they just shoot themselves on their foot.

Using old tricks these days does is just absurd as they are just wasting their time and efforts. Nobody should send those scammers any penny or dime as they're not worth it.

You are right.
It's just sad that some may fall for that, unfortunately.
But it's just surreal that it all works on the fear itself..

Well, it seems like the scammer that sent you an email isn't having it's quota reached that's why he's threatening people already and that includes you. :D Kind of funny that these scammers are desperate already to scam people that they will send threats to the email list that they have.

I also have an email that always receives email from various people. I've been reading them one by one, and of course I'm not clicking any links inside of it and I've been receiving these emails for a year and I realized that "nobody from them can scam me" because they're using cheap tricks. They're like newbie when it comes to scamming. Let's laugh at them and don't fall to their tactics. On the flip side, there are some newbies out there that are unfortunately falling to these "cheap" tactics that these scammers are using. To them, learn, learn and learn again.

This has been my thought all these while. I was wondering because there might be some people out there who might not have idea how these scammers operate and out of fear they would hurriedly give them money they request for. Possibly the trick might not be this kind maybe another kind of trick they might use for them and get at them.

Newbies really go through alot and this makes them learn the hard way and so not give attention to most of these online stuffs as a result of their experience and sometimes they miss out of opportunities that would have been able to turn their lives around just because of their bitter past experience. Everyone just needs to be sensitive and smart to know what to do when situations of such occurs.

instead of scamming people in this era, the number of victims of the reality of life in this era is increasing even more. And Bitcoin or cryptocurrency is the main one used today to steal money through online.

This is the method that is often seen and read in the news today in social media news and in articles via hacking. and phishing. that's why everyone involved in the crypto space needs to be extra careful.

Re: Watch Out for Crypto Scams!

Scams are prevalent throughout the cryptocurrency space, affecting all blockchains and networks. Now, even the Bitcoin network is vulnerable through Ordinals.

I don't know what you mean, scams are not going to affect blockchains and networks. If you talk about the Bitcoin network, Ordinals are clogging the mempool. I don't think it will fall on the scam though, it's simply a deliberate way to attack the network and it's integrity.

I mean scams are rampant in all blockchains and networks. It's affecting them in a way that people can't actually trust any kind of smart contracts. Like making the decentralization not really useful but as a good tool to create compromised tools that process irreversible transactions.

Ok fair enough, I do understand your point, yeah, it's more on the smart contract or the code itself. And there are codes from the developer that has vulnerabilities and exploit and that's where the hackers came in, change the code and then steal millions and millions.

And even if there are 3rd party that sort audited it out, still hackers are very clever and one step of the game. As far as trusting the networks and blockchains, only weapon for that is to check everything and verify before using them.

+1 for you.

Re: Watch Out for Crypto Scams!

Well, it seems like the scammer that sent you an email isn't having it's quota reached that's why he's threatening people already and that includes you. :D Kind of funny that these scammers are desperate already to scam people that they will send threats to the email list that they have.

I wouldn't say that crypto scammers are desperate though, I mean they could have been just sitting in their homes waiting for someone to fall for their trick. Unless this is a well organized crime company that we have seen in Youtube in a certain country.

For a experience crypto enthusiast, yeah, we might open this email and read the content and totally delete it because we all know that this is just trick for them. But their could be newbies who believed everything they see on their email. They don't verify anything, specially that involves their personal lives. So the first thing that we should really learn in crypto is how not to fall for it clickbait that we received in our emails everyday.

If you say they are not desperate then why do they scam people. Is it not desperacy that led them to scam people of their funds and assets? Before someone would sit at their comfort zone to carry out such act, they must have planned it and doing that shows that they mean business and tell me what led them to do scam people if they are not interested in doing such. As far as I know, any crime that occurs must have been planned before it is executed so no crime is a mistake. To the least crime was thoughtfully done you can not, lets call a spade a spade.

Using old tricks these days does is just absurd as they are just wasting their time and efforts. Nobody should send those scammers any penny or dime as they're not worth it.

Unfortunately, these old tricks still work, and this is why they are still doing it. If you check their Bitcoin address, you will see they receive money from time to time, which means the victims are still sending money to them. You and I know that this is a pure garbage scam because we are regular in cryptospace and we see these crypto scams every other day.

When it comes to crypto newbies, or an average joe who does not really know about these scams, they can be trapped by those scammers. There is no way they will share the fact with someone because it's thing they cannot share with everyone. Unfortunately, a lot of people still fall for these scams and lose their money.

Yeah, we should think of it as a new era, like when the Internet only appeared, people would fall for such tricks as well, they were manipulated or scared so much they would do anything, basically.
It's the same premise there but with a new sound to it - in Crypto theme.
It's unfortunate and should be dealt with appropriately.

yes, we who are involved in the crypto world must be careful because there are many scams in the crypto world. Scammers will always be there with various tricks to deceive people. Moreover, we also often see many unknown tokens that suddenly enter our wallet, we should never try to make transactions with these tokens because we will lose our crypto assets.
