As long as Bitcoin continues it's uptrends movements, it is very obvious that many scammers will take advantage to scam people using different strategies. Honestly, scammers has come of age with upgraded patterns to defraud investors especially the newbies. It is advisable to be watchful and be vigilant; do not click phishing links or SMS codes, and always ask questions if you are in doubt of certain informations through the community and other social networks platforms.

As technology is advancing and cryptocurrency world been a hub to make lots of money, scammers are now very much focused there and ready to victimize newbies into believing that they can become rich overnight. In their quest of actualizing that, has now made them more vulnerable to this scammers and they easily get access to them and scam them off their money.

The bitcoin bull run has also had this general intuition that one can make a lot of money while buying meme coins or even trading meme coins, this has also been another trend and where scammers now hide behind to fulfill their urge also. It is better to be more careful in this bull run than before. No matter how easy it might sound, nothing comes that easy to achieve in the crypto space without the right knowledge.

If at the beginning they say there are no requirements and suddenly change, you should analyze it properly and be careful because it could be a scam. There are many scams in airdrops, so as a participant participating in airdrops, you should be careful. I prefer to focus on bounty campaigns, because this is really free and we don't need money to claim rewards etc. like in airdrops.
These things are not new for us because as well as we know the airdrop and the bounty campaign from a few years back even then that time those are not famous like current.
But that time I saw and explore about the airdrop and the bounty campaign yes there were also lots of scammer who were not just scam the investor they also scam their bounty and airdrop campaign participants.
If we just search the bitcointalk forum for scam accusations, we will find tons of topics that have scam accusations against the Boundary Campaign Manager and Boundary Campaign projects. So there is no way to make a good analysis before participating in these but I think the wise decision will be make avoid them and have a good skill which will be productive for future.

It is undeniable that if one event has a lot of fraud, this will affect the others, and this makes the level of trust in crypto worse,
how many people might leave the airdrop because the results given are not appropriate, but it should be noted that when an airdrop winner posts his income, there will be many new users to join the airdrop as we know every day there are many new projects on this crypto
The experience of a user becomes highly important in building trust in the ecosystem of cryptocurrencies and other related programmes such as airdrops. When such results are satisfactory, new participation will escalate, organically. If that all is done carefully, choosing credible projects and keeping everything transparent, positive experiences only cement the Crypto community.

The problem is that scammers always appear with new faces and methods. People involved in crypto get scammed at least once in their crypto journey, no matter how experienced they are. This mostly happens because they don't pay attention. We know how scammers' traps work, yet we fall for these traps. As I said, it happens because sometimes we get too busy and do not pay attention.

For example, I was scammed a couple of months ago by phishing. It's not like I didn't know how phishing works. However, it happened because I did not double-check the URL before connecting my wallet. That mistake drained my metamask wallet.
Scammers are smart people with bad attitudes and always have new methods to commit fraud. We may have been deceived before, but we must always be careful not to let it happen again. Although to be honest, I still get deceived even though I try to avoid it, because their methods are always different.
One thing I really trust myself to is this scam of a thing I'm not sure I can even attempt to be scammed not talking of being scammed. I don't know if it is because I don't really follow and trust online projects but I'm always careful to engage myself in anything online project especially if I don't see the verified icon and if I don't see a person talking about it. Online testimonies are very sweet and decisive so I don't trust them.

Well yeah same here I also did the same thing with random people trying to scam me won't be entertained but when the time a legitimate platform allowed scammers to create tokens got me rugged all the way though I know it already that it was risky but I still did because I am with the idea of "what if this is it" I mean trying luck with cheap tokens isn't that bad because at the end of the day we can still see a lot of investors making money out of it but I wasn't that lucky I mean yeah hopefully soon. 😅

When attempting steps by trying cheap tokens there is always risks but there is always the chance for those who get it right. Indeed, when the results are not as expected, then, disappointment will definitely be experienced particularly if we felt that the platform used does not support trust. However, every experience is a good lesson in how we should be more cautious in the future. There should remain cautious not to lose hope in the next experience because a good opportunity is still around.

Actually, not only cheap tokens but also expensive tokens have risks, even all top coins also have their own risks. It's just that the level of risk is different. And this is not only because of the price, but more about the potential and coins or tokens themselves. If the tokens are from a new project, especially hype coins or meme coins, then it will be a very high risk, because there is usually a pump and dump. While top coins usually have a lower risk as long as we can manage the risk.

but I agree that various mistakes or past experiences can be used as very meaningful lessons for the future so that we are always alert and careful in all scam proabbilities.

This is why, every investment decision made in the world of crypto does come with certain levels of risks no matter how small the price someone may have paid for a token. Hence before a step can be taken in any project, a research should be conducted on the background of the project intensely. Thus we can say that there is always way to manage and reduce our losses. In fact, the blunders of yesterday are insurance policies for advancement that enables us make wiser decisions next time.

every token or kin has a risk, but the top coins have a lower risk than hype coins like meme coins.
and investors already understand that, that's why they choose meme coins for fast investment, because something that is hype is very fast and the price goes down or maybe it's worthless anymore.

Everything has risks and what differentiates the level of risk, I agree with that. We can't compare a coin that has been on the market for a long time with a meme coin that has just appeared, for example, that is an unequal comparison.

Whatever it is, the point is that we have to be careful, especially with meme coins. Don't just see someone successfully getting huge profits from meme coins, then we think the same thing and become careless.

I agree, there is always a way to reduce possible losses and usually experiences will be used as a basis for not doing the same thing for the umpteenth time.

We cant really be perfect specially if we are really just that new into investment on which there might be times that our greed would really be able to control us and this is something a very disadvantage for us on this aspect. Experience would really be the best teacher on which we might be able to experience some scams in the past but it wont really be happening on next time.
Making up some in depth analysis will really be something that will be needed up when you are trying out to invest and also trying to read up others sentiments towards it then it will really be that up to you whether you should invest or not basing up on what you read but of course it will really be just that still basing up with your own decision in the end of the day.
We cant really be that perfect on which there are really that instances

Everyone uses performance evaluation and one learns that every asset class possesses certain attributes. There is usual stability from established cryptocurrencys while emerging ones like memecoins are very risky but can offer great returns like Shiba Inu. Thinking about opportunities with clear vision helps one grab the moment to make a move without haste.

Exactly, we can get a lot of information to use in future endeavors based on past experiences. Through downplaying each project and appreciating certain patterns that may actually be misleading, we can slightly minimise the risk. The process of investing in the crypto is difficult, but with the proper approach and increased expertise, the opportunities of reaching positive outcomes remain much open.

In addition, memecoin is also influenced by hype, so this can actually be seen when we want to get into meme coins. When a meme coin is noticed by an influencer, for example, then usually it can become a hype.

However, to achieve that is clearly not easy, because of the many meme coins we never know which one can steal the attention of a big influencer. therefore we must be prepared to lose.

Re: Watch Out for Crypto Scams!

Investing in meme coins is very risky because it requires experience and accuracy when entering and exiting because as you said meme coins need hype, and we have to know which meme coins will be hype and sell them when they are still hype. I read many comments here and agree with this.
but we should buy top coins for those who are not experienced in investing in meme coins.
