This is something that has been on my mind for a while. Nigeria has an alarming number of worship centers. In fact, I am forced to admit that the proliferation of worship centers is one of Nigeria's problems. The majority of the spaces where worship centers are built could have been used to set up a factory. When a factory is established, no matter how small, people are employed, which helps to address the issue of unemployment.
Also, if industries increase, people will spend more time working rather than worshiping. The truth is that when people work, the economy grows, whereas worship does not bring prosperity to a country. If we want to compete with developed countries, we must begin to think and act rationally.
As a result, I believe that worship centers should be limited and subject to taxation.
