Germany just some months ago was a very bad team, Julian Nagelsmann is doing a good job.

I don't think they were that bad compared to the present Croatia or Scotland team that has recently struggled in their UEFA Nations league competition. But, massive credits to Julian for his excellent work, and trying to bring the winning mentality of Bayern Munich to the German national team. I like the fact that he isn't the partial type that would prefer to start his former club players ahead of other players from various leagues and clubs.

It’s the start of a new era for the England under Thomas Tuchel, and we are already some interesting names being called to the squad, they style have not been completely different but maybe with time it would be.

Belgium losing to Ukraine after taken the lead first is a really surprising one, what has happened to the Belgium national team though ? I remember vividly the “golden generation” with a lot superstars that failed to live up to expectations and since then their transition into new generation players is only getting even worse.

In this round I was still surprised by Denmark's performance, which managed to beat Portugal. Even Portugal made it difficult to penetrate the Danish defense. I hope that in the second leg Portugal can turn things around. Because it would be very bad if it turned out that Portugal had to stop in the quarter-finals.

Bright debut for the Myles Lewis Skelly, he’s going to be a huge asset for the English in the left back position which literally needs a little of competition and quality right now.

England are probably not going to struggle in the 2nd leg either, but as you’ve said, we’ll see how they will perform against better teams.

When I remember how young a player is, I'm always very concerned about the experience he has and how he would do in very big games. Both his club coach and now his country coach have little concern about that and more confidence in his abilities as a player.

I see him as a must-start for Tuchel in their next game.

Yeah, that's the first thing I noticed while browsing the scores. Even though they have not won a major trophy in years, they still used to be one of the best teams but I guess no nation can escape some rebuilding phase. It's not every generation that they can produce a real national talent.

That’s why the most successful national teams keeps thriving, it’s not always about having all the players at a go, but there is always constant addition of new youngsters, which makes the transition really easier, Belgium had a lot young players then, but they were barely new additions, it was just the same set of guys with different coaches. If you look at Spain for instance you’ll see how mixed their players are with just a few old ones, after while you’ll probably not see the old ones in action anymore, and the same applies to the French national team. Transitioning between generations of players is really important for national teams, if not their rebuilding phase takes longer than usual before it works out well.

Germany vs Portugal would definitely be an exciting tie to watch in the semi finals, and the same applies to France taking on Spain.

There were a lot of comebacks in the matches played yesterday, it probably the most exciting International break fixtures I've seen in a long while, the matches used to be boring, but not this time around.

Portugal comeback in the Nation League quarter-finals was impressive, especially considering the lost the first leg. Ronaldo scoring a goal was icing on the cake for me, it was great that they won for me, no doubt the semi-finals will be a tougher challenge, Portugal has shown resilience and determination in their comeback against Denmark,it going to be an intense and unpredictable match if they can maintain that momentum and strategy the God of soccer might just give them a chance against Germany.

Despite victory in his first game in charge of England, their wingers were not as impactful as they could be. I see a lot of room for improvement. Let's hope Thomas Tuchel can improve his game in the next match
