[Boxing] Johnriel Casimero vs Saul Sanchez 122-lb October 13
« on: September 10, 2024, 09:32:01 AM »

ctto

Casimero will be back in action after almost a year of inactivity.
This will be held in Japan which i think if Casimero will win convincingly, this might be his ticket to a fight with Naoya Inuoe.

What do you think guys, do Casimero could still deliver a convincing win this time or Sanchez might be the one who will force him to retire?

Why not? if Saul Sanchez is not on his level, then maybe this is going to be the first time that we will see Casimero giving us that impressive win and it will be better if he can score a knockout win and so he can send the message that he is still that great champion at 118 lbs and maybe Inoue will be interested on him as his last fight at super bantamweight.

But if it is another lack luster performance, and although he produces a W, Inoue will just go and fight Sam Goodman this December and then move up in weight next year.

Good thing is that if Inoue moves up in weight, then maybe Casimero can align himself to fight for one of the belts that Inoue will vacant.

He needs to show us the old version of himself here, we don't want controversial ending anymore. He has a good knockout percentage though, so he should be the favorite on this fight. But this fight though is just the undercard on the Hiroto Kyoguchi vs Vince Paras main card.

The Filipino Paras has upset Hiroto Kyoguchi, in their first fight, but then the Japanese settle the score in the second. And so with this trilogy, it will settle once and for all who is the real winner between the two.

However, most of the Filipino fans are not aware of that and we thought that Casimero vs Sanchez is the main event or at least this is the fight that we all have been looking for.

I am not familiar with Saul Sanchez as of the moment but if Johnriel Casimero has improved from his shortcomings in his last fight I think he has the edge to win this fight he should be performing the best he can so he may secure a fight with Inoue.

been a long time Casimero wanting to fight Inoue. maybe if he can pull this off spectacularly he will be able to convince the Inoue team to consider him before moving up since Inoue had wiped the 122 division already.

rumor was that they are cooking Tank vs Inoue which is why Inoue had to climb  3 more weight class to make it happen. gonna be a bigger fight than this unknown Saul Sanchez which Casimero might just stomp easy. he is more experience between the two.

I was wondering why in Japan but yeah, it's for Inoue to see and challenge him after the fight.

Casimero and his team's only problem here is they might be thinking too far ahead and not focus on the opponent that's in front of him. Underestimating Sanchez or fighting to impress Inoue could be his downfall.

Another lackluster performance could mean an end to his career. Casimero is already 35 years old and he can't afford this time to produce a boring and non-sense fight, he should train hard this time around and show that he is in a serious business. If i'm him, i would not be looking forward to a fight with Inoue instead i will use all my energy focusing on this fight. As per Bob Arum's plan, Casimero is not in the list of Inoue's future opponent but it could change once he give an impressive performance against Sanchez.

been a long time Casimero wanting to fight Inoue. maybe if he can pull this off spectacularly he will be able to convince the Inoue team to consider him before moving up since Inoue had wiped the 122 division already.

According to the US promoter of Inoue, Bob Arum, Naoya will have his customary end of year fight in December and most likely he will be facing Sam Goodman.

And it was said that this will be his last fight at super bantamweight, then he moves up to featherweight and will fight in the US in 2025. So it means that regardless if Casimero gives us a impressive win, he will not be able to fight Inoue.

this will discourage Casimero in pursuing the fight again. it does look good already after seeing his next fight is going to be in Japan which Inoue could be watching his fight too in the ring side. Arum drags back Casimero's chance to square 1. but Inoue said this plan a longtime ago, Sam Goodman is just an extra fight for him. featherweight though is not the most exciting class in boxing, 130-135 is going to be a big step up though.

IMHO, Casimero doesn't stood a chance against Inoue at this stage of his career. He struggled in his last few fights where he fought B-class fighters. Casimero is now just fighting for the money to finance his lifestyle and doesn't mind if he can land a fight with Inoue or not.

Odds for this fight is not release yet but i do think that this will be an even fight so this makes this fight more exciting for us bettors.

Casimero is a late starter, and he burst in the scene probably 29-30 years old and was not able to maintain his form specially after his controversial weight issues against Butler and after that his career turn upside down.

And now, he is already 35 years old and already declining and as much as he trains that hard, his age is going to be a big factor for him. For sure, he should forget about the Inoue fight, he should just mentally focus on the fight against Sanchez and then see how it goes for his career.

Re: [Boxing] Johnriel Casimero vs Saul Sanchez 122-lb October 13
« Reply #11 on: September 14, 2024, 12:45:40 AM »
Why not? if Saul Sanchez is not on his level, then maybe this is going to be the first time that we will see Casimero giving us that impressive win and it will be better if he can score a knockout win and so he can send the message that he is still that great champion at 118 lbs and maybe Inoue will be interested on him as his last fight at super bantamweight.

But if it is another lack luster performance, and although he produces a W, Inoue will just go and fight Sam Goodman this December and then move up in weight next year.

Good thing is that if Inoue moves up in weight, then maybe Casimero can align himself to fight for one of the belts that Inoue will vacant.

Yes, I think him severing his ties with MP and then trying to carry his career all alone specially his fight against Butler that really cause the downward spiral of his career. Because after that he took another time off and then comeback with a different manager good a fight outside but the outcome is not what we wanted to see.

While Inoue enjoy his success, beating Butler and then become the second man to unify a belt in two divisions. Such contrasting outcome for both of this fighters and Inoue trying to be a social media personality. And with the way he spend his money, after retiring, he could suffer the fate of most top fighter Pinoys, who end up nothing after their career is over because they didn't handle their money very well.

Casimero will be back in action after almost a year of inactivity.
This will be held in Japan which i think if Casimero will win convincingly, this might be his ticket to a fight with Naoya Inuoe.
Good thing Casimero got an offer for an inactive boxer like him. It's better to give his very best to tell the world what he still got because i already doubt his skills as he get older. He become too slow, no signature move, no entertaining skills, i also think that his fights makes the crowd get bored based on his previous fights.

His chance to fight Inoue become so slim, that man keep winning, 2 fights in every year, the crowd and hype are still there he already dominated superbantam division i bet he will go higher division in the next two years, while Casimero is getting older with no achievements unlike on his early years.

He has a Japanese manager so he needs to get promoted by him. And he is lucky that his is being exposed to the Japanese market in this fight. The Japanese market seems to be very lucrative, besides the power broker from Saudi Arabia, Japan seems to be where fighters wants to show their skills as Japanese crowds are very likely smart and appreciate great fights.

His chance to fight Inoue become so slim, that man keep winning, 2 fights in every year, the crowd and hype are still there he already dominated superbantam division i bet he will go higher division in the next two years, while Casimero is getting older with no achievements unlike on his early years.

Slim to none, Inoue will be moving up to Featherweight division. While Casimero will content to be fighting at bantamweight as he is too small to be at 126 lbs. And with father time, I don't see him have time in his career, no offense meant to his fans here.

Didn't know about this, good thing if its the case, but i still want to see a better of Casimero on this fight. His previous fights were boring to me.

Slim to none, Inoue will be moving up to Featherweight division. While Casimero will content to be fighting at bantamweight as he is too small to be at 126 lbs. And with father time, I don't see him have time in his career, no offense meant to his fans here.
Better for him, one last fight for defense title or two then move up where stronger fighter awaits. If he can go even for his retirement on super feather weight, that would be exciting, well, higher division is much better. I would like to see him KO'ed his opponents regardless the experience with those liver shots and claim titles.from them ;D
