Why Bitcoin

I would like to hear reasons why you choose bitcoin.

I started purely because of its investment reasons cause I couldn't resist knowing that Bitcoin was growing rapidly year after year but now my reason is completely changed after learning more and more about Bitcoin, decentralisation and the concept of money.

Now I am mostly interested due to it's decentralisation, we never had such monetary tool before in the history ever.

I am interested in bitcoin because it can be a hedge against inflation and as a means of investment. So I have to speculate very well to know when to buy and when to sell.

I noticed that I do not buy coins like ethereum probably because it is centralized unlike bitcoin. Bitcoin is more related to asset than all other coins.

Well to be honest when I first heard about bitcoin - I learned that only those that are extremely wealthy can afford to get it and that if you bought bitcoin you’d have the possibility of earning more money than what you used to buy the bitcoin.

It was after I signed up on Bitcointalk and started to read more about bitcoin that I finally realized that bitcoin was more than that and it has more potential than just an investment opportunity.

So for me, it was investment purpose that brought me to bitcoin but I’ve grown to love the decentralization aspect of it and the fact that I don’t have to worry about any centralized body seizing my bitcoin and preventing me from transacting with my coins.

Well I think that's almost same with me. I first knew about bitcoin though when I joined bitcoin talk I came to understand  more about it and from there my interest in bitcoin gradually grew. I think transacting with bitcoin is something I've done a couple of times though I'll say that one of the the main reasons I make use of bitcoin is its store for value and because it's a nice and easy form of investment that really doesn't require much rather than being able to store your keys properly.
Anyways other things like the transparency of the network and decentralisation also count , however a suitable for of investment best describes my main reasons.

actually the initial reason why I chose Bitcoin, because I saw some of my friends were also concerned in Bitcoin and they got a lot of money. Because of that I wondered and also learned about Bitcoin, about crypto in general, and so on. Until I could be in the Bitcoin forum.

It is undeniable, the reason before I understood why Bitcoin is important in this world, with its extraordinary technology, and the extraordinary development of crypto too, my initial reason for being here actually made sense, to get more income from Bitcoin. And that's true, it turns out that not only me, Bitcoin is not only a currency but also one of the things that helps many people to get a better life.

I am so sure that majority of the people who got into Bitcoin and cryptocurrency industry for that matter are all looking for the possible gains they can get with the asset. And I think this is a very valid reason since nobody would be buying something that we know will not be gaining in value, after years of holding. And this was also true with me. I bought some Bitcoin before with the idea that it would go up in price...and then I later learn of the many philosophical grounds why Bitcoin got into existence. Right now, I am seeing Bitcoin as a big hedge against economic maladies that may fall on all of us in the coming years. Of course, there will be risks as nobody can be sure of what the future might hold for all of us.

I'll be honest and I will say "Investment purposes". I mean it's obvious that people wanted to get huge profit with Bitcoin. Although we can still used it for cross border payments and others, it has shift it's goal to say the least.

But nothing is wrong with it, we have heard stories already of early adopters becoming rich and still continuing to investment, buy, hold and sell for profits in the future. Maybe in the beginning we are all into decentralisation, but as we mature and with the evolving market, majority here chooses to just become a investor.

Choosing Bitcoin is just standard if you read everything in the Bitcointalk forum. It makes transferring payments and being their bank easier without relying on anyone. Setting up is relatively easy, so I don't think there would be a problem in general.

Bitcoin is the start of something revolutionary, and it makes sense to use it.

Well to be sincere my early days of bitcoin is not something i am very proud of, i joined because i thought it was a get rich quick scheme and i wanted to make some money desperately then and so it was very easy for me to get scammed because i had no knowledge about bitcoin.

When i joined bitcointalk was when i finally decided to believe in bitcoin again and I chose bitcoin mainly for investment purposes but knowing about other benefits made me perceive bitcoin differently, it’s decentralization and the freedom it offers make me attracted to it more.

So far all the replies indicating that they started their journey because of the investment and then things turned around when they get to know more about the Bitcoin which means that could be the standard story of most of us but let's hear it from themselves.

I chose Bitcoin because it's a good investment. I have invested in altcoins, too, but Bitcoin will be the last one I'll sell. I am aware it's decentralized and a payment option, but have not really taken advantage of these except for personal payments to someone who's also into crypto. Crypto adoption has been very slow where I'm from and crypto payments are not yet an option.

Appreciate for being transparent and honest but you still got a lot of way to learn buddy, even if Bitcoin is not accepted widely still you contribute to the network in one or other even if you hold small amount and I recommend accumulating as well since we all know that Bitcoin is becoming unstoppable so let's assume ourselves as forerunner like people who bought gold 50 years ago and that's the similar situation we are in.

The price of BTC pushed me to learn and study more about cryptocurrencies, but quite unfortunate for me, I was introduced into crypto when the price of BTC has already started counting in tens of thousands.
This only pushed me to dive in acquiring more knowledge on it and learning the cause of price fluctuations, since it was the major determinant of other Altcoins price.
Though I learnt Alot from BTC, but much of my investments were on Altcoins since they were much affordable.

Investing in Bitcoin is the best choice when it comes to crypto investment, as other coins follow Bitcoin, Bitcoin is on top in every case. My first investment was Bitcoin. Investing in Bitcoin I can rest assured because Bitcoin is not highly volatile like other coins. It is one of the most viable currencies to invest in, and it is much safer due to decentralization, plus many other things that attracted me to Bitcoin.

I came to crypto because of the obvious reason which is to earn money but as time passed by decentralization has got my attention and I think most of us do. In addition to that I realized that Bitcoin is future proof and also inflation proof so there were possitive effects of Bitcoin as time goes by
