Complaint about the News ticker

News ticker is interesting addition to forum and some people may like it, but I would like to see collapse/expand function working for this space, so I can hide news when I don't want to read them anymore.
If that is not possible for some reason right now, than I would like to see button STOP, along with PAUSE and PLAY, to permanently stop animation slide distraction.

A news ticker layout with running text links reduces the design's aesthetics. It seems too forced to get the user's attention to the link.

Did the refresh trick not work to fix this? I visited the forum without clearing any cache and it works properly. I agree that the moving animation is not really great for readability as of now. A static place such as under a forum post or the ads banner on top of the forum feels like a better place to put the link. Maybe only one or two so they need to cycle them, not sure if that's ideal for the goal that admin wanted to achieve though. Personally, I don't have a problem with this since I don't visit this forum on mobile at all.

Exactly!   You want the forum to look modern, or you would have stayed with bitcointalk lol. 

I suggest a minimize button on the right, and a cookie to remember the state.  This will allow you to impress new users with crypto info, while not annoying experienced users who don't need it.

Admin - keep in mind adding an animated anything to a page reduces the chances it will stay open when multi browsing.

Well I haven’t experienced any problems with the news ticker but each time I go to home page of this forum the part warning or instructing us what to do in case of any problems seems to be too big.

I don’t know if it’s just me, but I feel it would have been better if the font of that instruction was reduced a bit.

Sometimes refreshing even doesn't resolve the issue of bullet points.



Closing the browser worked so if anyone is facing the issue even after the refreshing the page, I suggest you guys to relaunch the browser.

P.S I didn't clear the cache/cookies just closed and opened the browser.

That's a forced refresh - same as holding down CTRL and pressing reload

Well I haven’t experienced any problems with the news ticker...

After Pausing then Play it again the news reset or go back instead of continuing where it stop/pause which i don't think it's a good idea.

Same, as well as the colors of text and buttons are not relative to the forum's theme.

yep it’s definitely too big that it is the first thing that catches my attention even before i actually read the news well anyway it still is in its early stages anyway and admin seems to be just trying it out so i am sure at some point they will solve that

anyway i actually have no issue with this news slider it seems like those headlines in news television except it’s at the top it makes learning about crypto news easier for me but that’s just me if i had any complaint it will just be nitpicking like the color of the font and such

Can we create a setting for Legendary+ users to toggle the news reel to be paused at first, on page load? (disabled by default of course)

The main reason for me being that it uses up my phone's battery life if it's just running non-stop, and there's no reason for me to click on any of the links either given I can just go to 365crypto.org and read them there.

no it does not use up battery life
the javascript is like many other scripts on the page loaded with the page, the scrolling is just css animation

I tried refreshing the page and reloading the browser, and I even tried logging out of the Altcoinstalks account, but the result was the same as in the previous screenshot.

The last method is to Clear temporary cached files and pages. Then, it works, and there is a difference in appearance.



When I click the pause button and play again, the text repeats from the beginning on the right. My suggestion is that the running text continues from the position where it last stopped.
