Complaint about the News ticker

The main reason for me being that it uses up my phone's battery life if it's just running non-stop, and there's no reason for me to click on any of the links either given I can just go to 365crypto.org and read them there.

Yeah I agree with this, little more control would be good to have.
Even if not on mobile device I dont want text with news sliding on my screen every time I open main page on AltcoinsTalks.
I tried hiding this with adblocker but I am getting good results so far.

Many time has passed and it is unlikely many new users will find it useful. .. design is already too heavy imo

the javascript is like many other scripts on the page loaded with the page, the scrolling is just css animation

I hate to tell ya, but turning pixels on and off on a mobile screen does indeed take energy.

I have a suggestion for this latest news.

It would be nice if the news would stop when the user hover the mouse over it. Makes it easier to read, without clicking the pause button.

If you really want to stop the movement of news bar just don't go to the main form page, but if you really want to stop it on main page just disable javascript for Altcoinstalks.
There I said it, and it's not that hard to do with a simple click of a button
Note that Chrome based browser are making big changes, so I am suggesting everyone to switch to something else like Tor, Firefox, LibreWolf or Mullvad browser.

It would be enough to just slow down the scroll more significantly, then it would be possible to read it. This is currently tiring my eyes, so I'm not even trying to read.
I would also change the colour from blue to, for example, orange (like the 'home' button), it would seem more harmonious with the forum and certainly more pleasing to the eyes.

Signatures are not affected, they are shown normally with all their movement, like for example in ThorMixer signature.
Only important thing I noticed wont be available is collapse/expand bar on the top right corner, but that is a small price for ''fixed'' news ticker racing track.
You can always disable and enable script with a click of a button.

For me, so far I have not seen or noticed any issue of any sort with the forum or any part of it, I've tested the pause and play button for the news bar and it works really well, only two things I noticed which I wish can be adjusted by admin..

1. I think the speed at which the information in the news bar is running is too fast, admin can perhaps slow it down a bit.
2. When one click the pause button while the news is in the middle of the race, possibly to read up something, when you click the play button again, the news information will go back and start from the beginning - if it's pause and play, the news information should be able to continue running from where it was paused, not return and start from the beginning - this is Stop and play.

I got the impression that it works slower on mobile devices than on a desktop browser. Maybe the admin tested primarily on a mobile device, so it doesn't seem too fast.

btw. I would change the colour of the pause button as well as the links themselves, for example instead of the current blue, orange would be more suitable. Like the 'Home' button, and more in line with the design of the forum.

Probably, I didn't test if anything else like chat is affected but scripts can be disabled only on main page, so notifications would still work on other pages.
There is also alternative option of using adblockers for hiding only news ticker, but it needs to be customized.
Admin you can also give us the option to STOP news ticker permanently if we want.
