Just like the newly implemented news bar, how about if we have live crypto price of maybe the top 10 major cryptocurrency. I'll be glad if I don't have to leave this forum to check the current BTC price.

I am honestly not in favor of this idea. There are too many distracting things, I often don't even want that kind of information at that moment. Kind of like spam.
But if there will be a hide/show option, then I have nothing against it.


Do you know that bitmover has created an API that works on both forums, where you can add in the post the current BTC price, address balance and similar things in one click...

For me, it's okay that there would be a banner with the crypto price. Either way, it's okay because I rarely use it. What matters to me is what I trade at the moment, so I would use my wallet or exchange it for checking. It's more accessible as well if there are percentages in the amount that I have.

I don't mind such feature if there's option to enable/disable it permanently. But how do you determine top 10 major cryptocurrency? By marketcap?

It would be better to add it to the news section and have more variety such as news about the forum, users from the forum, news from 365crypto, sports news, bitcoin price and so on, just like the bar at the bottom of the news channels.


In general, I did not pay attention to the discussions on the news topic, so maybe someone suggested a similar idea.

Not that it not a good idea, but then not everyone will be in favor of this. I myself gets fed up by so many moving stickers and signature banners here on the forum.  It takes me time to focus on the main board so I just quickly read through then click on the reply to avoid string too much on them. The news bar can still be used to something similar. If the admin can still add such feature to the news bar then there no issue.

No please, don't do this.
I don't want this forum to turn into flashing and scrolling a bunch of text and information all over.
If you want to have bitcoin price you can install extension to your browser and see BTC price changes on all websites, or just open Coingecko and similar websites when you want.

Not that it not a good idea, but then not everyone will be in favor of this. I myself gets fed up by so many moving stickers and signature banners here on the forum. 

I know everyone will not agree to this, but if the admin agrees to it, it doesn't matter if everyone agrees or not. I also do not like so many moving stickers, but the stickers do not favour me. So, I decided to suggest the one that favours me.

Where would you want to place the price ticker without removing/changing the space for ads, the chat, and the news bar? I'm with dkbit that it might be too much or too messy to see two bars moving at the top of the home page.

If its going to only bitcoin, i will agree, but including other coins say the top 10, that would be a mess to look at in top part of the forum. Knowing it's already a mess for so many notes, pinned news in that part..

This is still altcoinstalks forum, it is to be expected that there is a place for altcoins in the ticker.

Given that there is a fairly wide selection of possibilities and suggestions for how it should look, it is obvious that it needs to be customizable and that each user can adapt it to their needs.

Lol, here is the home of altcoins and so, they should have their flowers to the fullest. If there is only one coin to be given priority here, it's not gonna be bitcoin ofcourse.

The same way news thick was implemented, in same position with different colours. Red when down and green when up.

I support this suggestion because it will only appear at the top of the home page. So we can see the prices of some of the cryptos in the forum at all time and not when you navigate to another app or in a thread. In many times when someone told me that bitcoin price has increased then I would go to the centralised exchanges and checked the price at the time. Which is not really good since this forum is a cryptocurrency forum, let's have that feature here too. And that is not something that will occupy space.
