This is one of my threads on bitcointalk, I decided to bring it here so that some of us who have never come across this facts will also learn and have fun.

I found an amazing article online which i assume to be funny, and at the same time; quite educative and interesting, this are facts I personally think that the gambling community should know about.

So without wasting much of your time, lets dive in.

        Here's an inspiring story for aspiring gamblers and small business owners: the founder of FedEx saved his floundering company by gambling in Vegas, earning $27,000 in blackjack! The company only had $5,000 in its coffers when Frederick Smith decided to fly to Vegas in 1973 and risk it all. I think you are the same OP that shared some tips sometime ago concerning how to stay ahead in the crypto space (hope I remembered correctly). And now, you are sharing another enlightening facts. To be honest, I haven't come across any of these facts. Thanks for sharing.

Well, I find all of them interesting But let me quickly point out few...

Number 1: that story sounds crazy. I guess the founder of FedEx is a professional gambler, because such wins don't often happen in the gambling industry. Though what he did was a massive risk, which might have shattered the dreams of his business, and so many people would have made a mockery of him.

Number 2: Gambling and betting are common things in prisons, but having a casino is totally insane. We all know how little bets can lead to disagreement and fight, then imagine the kind of violence that the casino will cause.

Number 4: We often discuss about gamblers and addiction on this forum, but I am not aware that addiction can even get a stage where gamblers can't leave their seats. The world is filled with funny things.

Number 5: and I guess anyone who visits a casino after agreeing not to, will get a heavy fine ?.

Number 12: so, some people are traveling to Monaco to gamble, only to end up paying the taxes of the citizens. This is why I believe the world is a funny place.

I did read the thread when you created it at bitcointalk - and I believe that was the first time I saw these facts, and some also added some other interesting facts in the threads.

No 10. Sounds the craziest out of all of them, fitting a whole casino in a car and it will keep moving. I’d be like I won 10 grands while at location X and the other 5 grands while at location Z on the same casino. It just sounds fun no gonna lie.

Thanks and yeah, the world is indeed filled with surprising and funny stuffs in every (business) sector, but we can only know them if and when we give ourselves to wanting to know them.

But the most funniest for me still remains number 4, I laugh really hard when ever I try to imagine a grown up adult sitting and peeing on the chair he's sitting on simply because he doesn't want to leave the game.
One time my two years old daughter did that while watching cartoon, I beat the hell out of her, it's disgusting, but yet very funny.

Several interesting stories to read about here, wonder why I haven't seen on on BCT..

But something I have seen time and time again is people gambling to rescue their struggling businesses from almost filling for bankruptcy to being in the green, and FedEx isnt the only company thats for sure...can only imagine what would have happened should he have lost all the money that night 😭😭

And some strange story I have seen here is that of peeing on casino floors because you are so addicted can't afford to take a 5 minute break to go to the rest room...very gross 🤢 and childish to say the least!!

This is very interesting as some facts here are very funny though. I  find it funny were a gambler would pee on themselves while gambling. If they were told that such would be the outcome of their excessive gambling lifestyle I believe they would be ready to throw stones at whoever that made such comment for the reasons being that they were adults and not a kid but the turn of events made it very easier for them and made them pee on themselves like babies. Point number 11 is quite intriguing I don't think it's coincidental for the Devils wheel to sum up to 666, biblically speaking it's the mark of the beast and it deals with everything negative, so it means that gambling addiction itself is being propelled by negative forces this is why there are no positive sides to gambling. Another point that I found very interesting is the fact that you can ban yourself from a physical casino for a specific period of time, I wouldn't have thought it was actually something that's possible, I thought you could only restrict yourself on online casinos only. This would help a lot of chronic gamblers control their losses

It's funny how I always thought that Las Vegas is the capital city of gambling in the world based on the informations we have been getting from the internet over the years. It was surprising to know that casinos are illegal in Japan, my reason for saying this is because they have a lot of crime going on in that country and casinos should be the least of their problems. Another information that caught my attention here is being able to withdraw from a casino when you are getting addicted, I thought this is something we could only do when gambling online, it's quite impressive to know that it can be done in physical casinos too.

vegas was probably just known for it because of all the crazy things that happen in vegas basically because of the glitz and glamour but from what i know china’s gambling habits date from hundred years of ago so i am not surprised
