it is pretty straightforward just from the names alone staking is locking up your coins and getting rewards from that and restaking is about taking the rewards from staking to invest them again or stake them restaking can be done even if the initial staked coins are still locked up

staking is pretty simple you stake and you get rewards but restaking has more risks since the market most likely has moved when you stake again and it may encounter some issues

In short, restaking means you use liquid token or other digital object (which represent staked coin) to perform staking again elsewhere. For example, you get stETH when you stake ETH on Lido. To perform restaking, you can use stake stETH on other layer or services such as EigenLayer, Puffer or Ether.Fi.

         -      To literally explain, when you say Staking, it is where you put your fund that you are willing to grow and you buy how long you will do it, either 30 days, 90 days, or 1 year. This is what I know and understand about Staking.

Now with restaking, for example, you have staked and you have finished the period you chose, which means that there is an added profit in our capital, and now because we want to repeat it again, there is compounding, which is called because you want it again. Repeat the first thing you did in staking.

I tried going through the comments to better understand what you meant by restaking, we all know or should know that what ever word that have a "re" before it simply means doing that thing the second time, or simply doing that thing again.

So, in this context, staking and restaking is no difference from each other, staking the first time is know as staking, then if you got paid some interest and you decide to stake it also, that simply known as restaking, or maybe you decided to buy more of the same coin or token and decide to stake it also, thats known as restaking.

In the nutshell, there is nothing special about restaking, it simply means doing staking of the same coin or token over and over again.

Staking or Restaking is almost the same meaning, staking involves locking up a crypto asset for specific periods to earn certain rewards, while Restaking is just put all funds together after end of a previous staked assets to restart again.
It is similar to a compound interest calculations in mathematics, like this: A=P(1+r/n)nt , a formula for compound interest. I will expanciate if required.
