During the last Real Madrid game, I bet my friend that if Real Madrid lost, he would pay for the snacks, and if Lille won, I would do the same. As you know, Real Madrid lost, but when the game ended, I was too shy to remind him to honor the agreement. He forgot about the bet and talked to me like nothing had happened. I didn’t bring it up since it was just a small thing
. But it made me wonder— Imagine if friends bet with large amounts of money, it could really ruin their friendship if one of them doesn’t fulfill the deal. Have you ever experienced a similar situation with someone you know? How did it end?
I had a similar experience with a friend, but I ended up returning the item after winning. This is because of friendship, which is why I do not enjoy betting with my friends. Some friends have a bad temper, and when they lose, they become obnoxious, making you look like an enemy.
When you have that type of friend, you simply avoid doing certain things with them to ensure that the friendship remains healthy. My most recent betting experience with a friend was such that if I had not refunded the money, he would have been unhappy with me. His countenance changed, and it was clear that he was furious, so in order to make the situation more pleasant, I had to refund him, and as soon as I did, he smiled.
