Staking or savings, which is better?

One question guys, staking or savings which do you guys consider the best?

I have some USDT I don't plan on spending or trading anytime soon but I still want to put it to use, I considered staking it but then I found out the exchange I was using had usdt savings of up to 18% APR and now I'm not sure if savings will be the better choice than staking

What do you guys think? Besides, the savings are also flexible and not a fixed time like the staking

The exchange that you are using has 18% APR for staking USDT? It is better you read about what the exchange says about staking USDT. The exchanges that I saw staking USDT, non is higher than 7% while it can be of higher percentage for newbies that have just joined the exchange.

Well, i personally have seen exchanges that give 10% for USDT staking, certainly not your keys, not your money, you have to carefully evaluate the risks and benefits, maybe try with small sums first

Stacking means depositing your funds with someone else in return for which you will earn interest at a certain percentage rate.  And savings means you save a fixed amount or an indefinite amount over a period of time.  When it comes to crypto I think saving is less risky than stacking.  Because in case of crypto if you deposit your asset somewhere else it will be less likely to get it back if it is a scam because here you will do it with your own responsibility so no one else will take responsibility for it. This is why I don't like stacking on a centralized platform at all. always remember not your key not your cryptos

no one can afford to give 18% interest for a long period of time.

i have seen more then one company offer high interest on usdt and than go bust.

so you are gambling you will pull it out before they go bust.

Could you talk me which one exchange have fantastic APY reward offering above 18% behind commonly exchange under 8% reward allocated for staking USDT.
Actually I doubt with that exchange offering and seems not really trusted how your USDT keep secure because the exchange offer bigger reward. I think difficult accepting with your exchange offer above 18% offering behind many top exchange giving reward APY under 8%.

Check again with how much reward and how trusted that exchange with fantastic reward offering when staking USDT, actually I am not sure yet.

I am interested with the exchange that you are talking about offering a saving option for USDT with a very high 18% APR. That is quite high and can be a better option compare to staking. Now, am wondering if the concept of saving here can also be similar to saving you are talking about...I think the main difference is that there is no time fixed. You did not mention how much is staking return, that should help with the choice.

Be careful, because I don't know how they're managing to offer that APY, which you can usually get on DeFi, but with more risk, which is normal
But even so, 18% in stable would be very good

I also prefer non custodial staking because it keeps out money safe. There are many exchanges which are giving good APR but I learned to be careful with my money. When investing it is important to know how much we can earn and understand risks. We should not chase big profits without knowing dangers or we could lose money. So I always make a research and don't get trap in those which are giving big rewards on my staking.

I prefer a small amount but it should be secured. If I feel any kind of insecurities I don't stake my assets in that projects.

Staking is also good if we do it on the official website, I also do staking on binance and it's safe. because while waiting for the bullish season we can also get income from staking. I also invest, but only in a few potential coins for long-term holding. In addition, I trade to get profit even though it's not big because my capital is small.

I tried both savings and staking, and I find staking more profitable than savings, but there are some risks attached to it as you will need to commit your coins to a platform; it could be an exchange, a casino or just a platform for staking for a certain period of time.
You have to be good at checking the platform to see if its worthy of trust to commit your coin and if the platform, if its's dedicated to staking, has been audited by a third party auditor like Certik.
If you're not comfortable with trusting your token or coin to one platform then just HODL your coins.

I am not sure any legitimate staking platforms offers more than 8 to 10% APR, so the 18% looks too good to be true.

I recommend the traditional way of investing in Bitcoin for long term that will surely surpass 10 or even 18% returns with staking if you hold it for a complete cycle. And now could be the perfect time to stack lump sump of BTC since we are already reaching ATH and the bull run is expected to be in 2025.
