For me, I thing they’ll be some FUD news being spread around by anti-bitcoiners and this might cause the market to drop a little and it will eventually recover though (the crash won’t be something that will take forever to recover). And if Satoshi decide to touch his coins, this will cause a huge panic as people will want to sell because they’ll fear the price dropping and we all know what happens when there is a huge number of people selling their coins.

The main thing that will happen is not even in the bitcoin ecosystem but in the altcoin market - they’ll be some bunch of new tokens flying around the whole market claiming to be related to Satoshi in one way or the other. There definitely will be an influx of new meme tokens in the market (this is a sure thing).

Really? The correct thing to say is that no one will ever know Satoshi's identity.

I don't think anyone will ever succeed in proving that he is the real Satoshi, simply because the real Satoshi, if he is still alive, does not want to appear in public and does not want anyone to know him, while the rest are all liars.

If the real Satoshi were to appear in public, it would certainly have a negative impact on the market, but I do not expect the market to collapse.

It may have an impact for sure, but the bounce back would be there, in my mind, in the long-run.
It's also important to note that it's not so much about the BTC itself, but the well-being of Satoshi in case of such an event occurs, in my opinion.

Back in the day I've read multiple articles and write up trying to pinpoint who Satoshi is. Some of them were of the opinion that bitcoin has a very complex base code and protocol which is impossible for one single individual to carry out alone so SATOSHI NAKAMOTO is actually a group of people. Satoshi's disappearance was and still is very important for the growth of bitcoin. 

Different things happened back in 2009 till Satoshi disappeared and to a very huge extent Satoshi seem to have cleared traces to any digital footprint he may have left behind. Satoshi has stayed hidden for over a decade now so why think he'll come out all of a sudden. His appearance would bring FOMO resulting in massive sell rate causing bitcoin price to drop even if it may pump after sometime.

In my opinion, there is no sensation here, neither about who he is, nor when he would appear - because he or they have done their job and there is really no need for them to ever be present in public again.

Satoshi can prove his identity only if he signs messages from one of the first BTC addresses, but even if someone does that, it would not mean that he is the real Satoshi - because anyone can get hold of those private keys at any time. However, I think that these private keys were probably destroyed on purpose so that this would never happen, which means that the mystery will continue to remain a mystery.

I don't think we can know how the market would react to such news, because part of it would be delighted by it, part of it would surely be afraid that Satoshi would dump all his BTC. Therefore, it is better that such a thing never happens.

It would be very strange and I can't imagine the direction the market would take with this news, but I believe it would be bad, since with a known identity perhaps somewhere they could sue Satoshi in some way, or demand something from some government...

First of course no one will believe him not unless he will show proof that he really is the legendary founder. Second, I think it will endanger his entire life and family. Third, I am not sure about the price since there is a mixed emotions during this time it might have significant surge or on the other hand crash because the governments or authorities or other entities might hunt him down and destroy Bitcoin.

the market will collapse that's for sure. no one will hold a coin where its largest holder of its coins is compromised as such where a government could get hold of him and dump his coins.
the whales are always going to be watching the old wallets.

Satoshi being anonymous adds the decentralization to the project and if he suddenly shows up, it better explains why he wasn't exposed too.

The media and government will try to create propaganda based on the identity of the user instead of the actual technology and that could succeed as well that is why remaining anonymous will be the best thing for the Bitcoin technology to grow. If he still alive means he knows what is happening to the bitcoin but still he decide to honour what he invented and why instead of just looking for profits than convinces me that this will be an unsolved mystery forever.

I think people who are into bitcoin are not dramatic like that. We went from being curious about his identity to not caring who he or she is now. HBO tried to make a stir among the crypto community with their documentary on who Satoshi is but the impact on the market doesn't seem that great. If the real one comes out, I think the media will be thrilled the most (not the real crypto enthusiasts).

Quite an interesting question. Now, if the real Satoshi is revealed, and he happens to prove to the community and the public in general by signing a message (which is basically what most people might request for), two things might like happen IMO. One of the thing that might happen is that the price of Bitcoin will skyrocket due to over excitement, or the price of Bitcoin will collapse due to fear. But what I feel is that there is a higher probability that the price of Bitcoin to collapse.

His identity has already been secret, and it should remain secret for the good of the project he left in good hands.

Well, if someone is Satoshi Nakamoto then that person doesn't needs to prove anything at all because everyone is already in search to know who's Satoshi Nakamoto and if they find the real Satoshi Nakamoto without his/her proving that he/she is Satoshi.

No, if Satoshi Nakamoto somehow appears now the market won't collapse at all, because the one who's Satoshi Nakamoto would most probably donate all the Bitcoin that belongs to him/her or he/she might burn those 1M Bitcoin to gain respect and fame rather than punishment by the authorities who dislike Satoshi due to his/her creation of Bitcoin.

First and foremost, just like many in the cryptocurrency industry I don't see the possibility of Satoshi Nakamoto one day surfacing and then maybe move some of the BTC he has on his wallet to prove his being genuine (unlike what Craig Wright is claiming even after losing his case in court). There is no reason for Satoshi Nakamoto to do that now...that is if the guy is really just one personality and that is if he is still alive. Now, in case I can be wrong and we can experience the unbelievable then it would be creating a HUGE excitement in the industry that even the mainstream media would be feasting on the news for weeks. With excitement all over, the market will be responding big time with skyrocketing movements. Of course, that is assuming that Satoshi will not be selling the BTC he acquired but for sure there is also no reason for him to do it. I am sure there will be a not-seen-before frenzy to have a meet-and-greet events with him and he can be treated like a Hollywood star who came back from the dead. Maybe there should be a movie exploring the idea of Satoshi Nakamoto getting back to the real world...and it can be an interesting watch.

this is very unlikely to happen but let us indulge this of course it will be difficult to say for sure but what i think is that the resurgence of satoshi might lead people to trust bitcoin more and potentially buy the market may rise because for sure the news of satoshi would be huge and get everyone talking

however how this plays out in the long term can be dangerous in a sense that he will be targeted not only by the authorities but civilians as well
