i registered in this forum quite a long time ago and i was talking to a friend about this forum which i encouraged him to go and sign up to

upon registration he said he had difficulty in verification see i already forgot how it was when i was the one who registered so i have no idea how to help him but i’m asking if anyone would know

This stuff is actually something that most sites make use of to verify that you are not a robot. It kind of acts like a form of captcha puzzle that you would need to solve before you can register an account or login depending on the situation. Anyways I can't really remember if this kind of puzzle prompt came up when I was registering an account on the forum and of course it doesn't pop up either when I try to login.

Anyways all he has to do is simply solve the math puzzle given and fill the answers in the spaces provided. The Idea is that even a 4 th grader should be able to solve it that's why some sites make use of it.

I actually experienced this one but after several tries, i guess that was more than 10 tries and i successfully complete the registration process. For me you don't need to ask this but try to answer it for several times, yes its annoying but it is what it is to avoid bot auto registration process.

To answer that captcha, first is 26 then 19, but its just for me, you can try others it depends on how the image looks and how complicated it is.

It's more of an IQ test than a bot, the questions seem a bit tricky and some might give wrong answers especially if they don't know English numbers.
I remember that the forum puts a lot of restrictions on newbie accounts, it's good that we were given a chance to bypass them.

This mist be new form because I never encounter this in all the websites and platforms that I registered. Can't your friend choose other forms of captcha like the usual clicking of cars and bikes? You can keep refreshing it right?

I believe I also created my account on this forum if I remember it correctly before getting teleported and I haven't faced any verification issues back then. I haven't created anymore accounts as I don't need alt accounts or etc and at the same time I haven't referred anyone so I don't know if that verification system is new or it was present when I created my account here. But, I believe it's not hard to solve those verification puzzles if you focus on them carefully.

we need to respect this type of verification since we want genuine members to apply on here and be active but i was thinking if is there any easier way to verify i really don’t remember doing this when i first registered and now i feel embarrassed of not knowing how to help a friend lol

This is captcha to restrict bots, I don't remember solving these kind of Puzzle on any website, probably it's based on geolocation anyway there will be a small question mark near the captcha somewhere that will explain what's this about that gives an idea about what to do.

Without those hints, both these are invalid mathematically so it's impossible to solve these.

It is one of the basic requirements when you decide to create a new account, I tried to create an account and got it:

You will get such captcha in case of opening a new account in this forum and posting with a new account.  You all may be familiar with the first 2 captchas. But I am sure you may face problems in filling captcha number 3 and 4.  Captcha numbers 3 and 4 are the wrong answers given in this image.  So what is correct?  Don't move.  I've had a few people ask me how to fill in this captcha so I'm posting it directly now.

LOL. When I saw this I chuckled. I remember my experience with this. I had to make a post to why I'll keep solving puzzle everytime I will make a post. But it didn't last long till it disappeared.

But to think about this, why did the admin make the puzzle to look like a gigantic algebraic equation that I had to use calculator to bypass. I think it is too much of a work.
Ticking a cross road or bicycle is cool.

We may not have to know or understand the reason for this, but all we must ensure to do is in solving them in other to proof that we are not automated on robot, this proofs that we are human, if we duly solved it, there is nothing bad when we are relating with the computer than computer to another computer, its not something that difficult to solve, we can do it at most convenient time.
