Off topic & Sports SubBoard Should Be Separated.

As the topic stated it clearly the two SubBoards should be separated so that when campaign managers dey count post dem go know say Sport SubBoard e dey different from di off topic boards. You're making a good point here as off topic and sports subboard should be differentiated as they are not related and talk about different things entirely so am of the opinion too that they should be separated from each other, if someone wants to talk about sport then he should go to the sports subboard and discuss what he wants to say and not what he says is also in off topic board.

I think Igebotz is quite correct by creating the board and naming it off topics and sports. Now the reason is because this is a crypto currency forum and our local board is just an extension for us to be able to discuss crypto related things in our country only and our local language which is pidgin too.
Now judging from this perspective , sport related discussions are not directly related to crypto and hence can be viewed as off topic too that's why I think igebotz decided to name it off topics and sports.

Yes I agree with you no campaign manager counts off topic posts. The idea of adding sports to off topic may be sickening to you and I understand your point however where I'm driving is that the chances of igebotz creating another sub board is thin since to most people they feel that too many boards messes up the view of the local board. Remember when there were generally too many boards here? Everyone was complaining and admin had to remove many of them that were of no use.

Anyways nevertheless your suggestion isn't a bad one I my self would suggest that we have a sub board for politics and society however like I said before, what are the odds that we'll get a sub board?

I understand you Mate, but I believe that Charles-Tim have said the right thing. There is a general board for sports and whoever wants to discuss on sport should go to the general board. If the topic that you want to discuss on is not on the general sport board, you can create yours. However, I don't see any need of putting sport and off topic together, instead let the sport be deleted so that it will be only off topic. IMO.

The off topic board and the main board is good to go as you talk am. It will be better for the sport aspect of the board to be Naija Politics and Society so that the political discussions will be separated from the cryptocurrency discussions.

For now the political discussions and cryptocurrency discussions are all in one place.

Agreed, Board restructuring from the sports, political, and crypto-sectional discussions will be easier to follow since they are specific categories. So, we could get to contribute in the areas that do not interfere with each other and enlighten the discussion in a easier manner. On the other hand it is clear that we also have the user base growing and that it is growing at a good pace.

By dividing discussions into more specific categories such as sports, politics and crypto the discussions will be easier to follow and can be organized better. This way we are able to post directly into the areas that we wish to and the conversation is more productive for everyone.

Also, as the number of users increases this grouping will allow us to update new topics that may arise without necessarily messing up with other discussions. It should also make user experience less stressful and thus more productive resulting in a stronger and more informative community.

You do not understand. Go through the off-topic and sport board now which are on our local board. Can you see that it is still just one page? If the activities on this board do not increase pertaining to topic creation, I do not see any other reason other sub-boards should be created than off-topic.

The borne of contention here I'd to remove the sport from the off topic board because there is nothing to discuss about sports in the local section and campaign managers will not count the sport comment in the local board as sport but as a local board comment.

And I also agreed with Charles-Tim that the main board and the off topic is okay for now but if another SubBoard should be add to the present ones then it is Other Discussion so that if anyone wants to create thread that is not for the main board, and the person can go there to create the thread.

Indeed, Some of the SubBoards on this Forum seem sufficient, and sports related topics can easily be referred to the main Board to bring more attention to it. This helps avoid the emergence of similar topics on local boards and disciplines, and it looks neat. That way, we are still able to have concentrated socio-cognitional engagement on each of them because they do not broken the same topic into different places on the forum.

Exactly, because I don't think that majority of us do watch our local league NFL due to how boring it is and not well cordinated with so many post-poned matches. However, a thread can also be created for that discussion on the general gambling board if anyone is interested on the topic, just as it is in the other forum.
