If you haven't sign up because of a promo, what sort of promo will make you register?

I am among those who are more influenced by the reputation the casino has, not by any promo or bonuses that they offer. Promos and bonuses can be misleading and not what should be focused on. If you already play in a reputable casino where you have no complaints, no need leaving because of promos and offers especially the very ridiculous ones.

I was influenced to sign up not because of ads but because there are many videos that they win big on scatter and it makes me want to try  my luck even though I know that some are only for promoting the casino.

I think most of the time we are enticed by the casinos sign up bonuses promised to every gambler on their first deposit and this is what encourage me to do so some years ago with this gambling platforms. They also have these commission thing from referrals so maybe that is what make us sign up.

This reason I might put it in a different situation, but it doesn't mean you're wrong, it's still true because this is also one of the reasons.

But I don't remember any other reasons to register at a casino, I only remember registering at a casino that has a good reputation. Promos and so on I think when we've registered we can still get them.

But for me personally the main reason is because the casino is trustworthy.

there is no reason whatsoever for me to register at a casino, the most important thing is that in my country there are no restrictions, I can open it normally with a regular website without a VPN, and there is no complicated KYC with lots of rules when I want to withdraw
for the promo bonus, it comes in several times for my reasons and I almost don't expect any initial bonus promos or whatever

was there ever a time where you got attracted to a casino because of maybe a hefty bonus? personally me no especially if it is just a lowly casino i tend to look at many aspects first before choosing a casino and if they have a good promotion then good a lot of sketchy casinos may have an even more attractive promos and bonuses tho so be careful if you are easily influenced

Yes, I do play if there is wagering requirement, I remember playing a couple times with contest winnings as it was mandatory to wager.

Personally, I used to be motivated by the welcome bonuses offer by a casino but reputation is more important just as you have mentioned and I have come to accept that because of my experience with some casinos. Some casinos offer attractive bonuses, but the terms and conditions for using them are so onerous that the gambler ultimately is unable to take advantage of them in any meaningful way because it is so hard to fulfill the requirements. 

Although I have not personally experienced it, but there have been reports of casinos consistently withholding payout. This is a major issue because the joy of winning is only complete after the gambler receives his winning. Some bookies can be cunning in that they will keep winnings until you the gambler is tempted to use the money for more gambling. Thus, the reputation of the casino is very important.
