Real number of activity

My activity right now is 1570
Show post > manually count the posts and you will see I have 421 posts.



The forum default activity is not giving me the real activity number that I have. I guess it's because of the Teleported feature. Can we have a different counter under each profile avatar which will give the real post count of a user?

As a campaign manager this is a very important feature I miss to provide quality information for the clients.

I Think that's how the forum works.

Because am not a teleported member but still my real activity number is not the one showing in my profile.  I think you can only see your real activity through your posts . Back then I got to a point my posts where increasing but my activity was freeze for a while , I guess is to reduce the rate of spamming in the forum .

Like now my activity is 523, while my posts are 599

Some users mentioned something like this earlier, about adding the post counts under the profile avatar to save them the stress of going through stat page always. And admin was like his working on it that trying to balance some other stuff first.

But I think it would be better if it was under our avatar also .

Ah, yes, there too, just like every smf forum do.

I guess that's a just small customization work on the forum software, @admin should post a heads up or no if this is possible.

This is confusion just because of the teleportation feature and counting total number of posts isn't either the actual activity since activity frozen after particular point only knew that happens with low ranked accounts but I assume that's the same for every account like 14 activity points will be added no matter how many posts we create in Bitcointalk.

Maybe admin can give us how it's calculated.

But as an immediate solution I suggest you to have format that asks total number of posts instead of activity points.

I think it is total Posts we are talking about and not activity. Activity is showing on the profile but total Posts Count is not showing on the profile that make it difficult to get it. I tried to get it from the last page of my post history and the number I got there is different from the number I got from the PX-Z chat he showed to me which is the original one.

Probably you understand it from the activity point. And that is why your last sentence also shows your total activities. But the thread is mainly for Total Posts Count figures.

They different in number in your post history and in the stat page because there are posts on particularly boards that are not actually counted (not added on Stat page) like in the Trash boards, etc.

I am against adding another line under the profile. I even think that this is too much now. Trade count, only a few users have 1 or more, mostly 0, completely irrelevant information. number of referrals, also unimportant for most users, as well as 'last active'.

Instead of messing around and changing code maybe someone can create usercript and just move actual post number to the profile page.
In bitcointalk we have BPIP extension and I would like to see something similar created for Altcoinstalks forum, but with different information.
This would make life easier for everyone, not that it's hard opening Show Stats

Except for the managers of signature campaigns, who else is it important to know the post count and for what reason?
Even for managers, the number of posts is not so crucial, they have to look at the post history before accepting participants and the quality of the posts during the campaign. The post count is pretty much irrelevant as information.

Probably for participants in the same campaigns and for everyone else who came from bitcointalk forum.
Back there we already have number of posts inprofile page and that is why some members are finding it confusing how this works in Altcoinstalsk forum.
Userscript can be used for other things also, not only for showing number of posts.

We have similar information here trade (trust) karma (merit), posts, activity. Something very similar BPIP would work.

Maybe PX-Z can create some extension like that and a Recognized score (Most Recognized is calculated using: 1000 - ((Activity Rank + Trust Rank + Earned Merit Rank) / 3).) (source: https://bpip.org/)

The point is that Karma is not so open like merit, so we can't really "audit" it.

I think PX-Z can surely make something, but after recent attacks on TalkImg website I am a bit hesitant with projects like this.
Maybe AltcoinsTalks is not such a big target like Bitcointalk forum, but PX-Z can't do everything for free.
