It's an exciting time for all the holders of bitcoin, and may holders of some certain Altcoins as well.

Bitcoin in the past 2 or 3 days have been on a steady rise with minor pullbacks from time to time, and like it's a joke, the price is already above $72,000 which is less than a thousand dollars away from its previous all time high of around $73,700.

Being a hodler, I am happy to see this sight, I mean, who doesnt love green candle?

But I have a serious question to ask..
- what do you think is driving the price of bitcoin up? Any news or update acting as catalyst?
- Will the price of bitcoin fall back again if for whatever reason, Trump loses the coming US presidential election?

I am just so curious to know your thoughts...

Of course no holders that wouldn't be happy see bitcoin soaring to this point, and those who hasn't invested yet are grumbling for the price increase therefore they are wishing the price to drop seriously for them to invest. People who already holding sufficient volume are hoping for the price to soar higher while those that aren't holding yet are wishing for a best entry point to buy at the coolest moment.

Not sure, but I've two feelings. One is probably the uptober hype while the other is probably the US presidential election that is just around the corner. You know how the market is, both little and massive things can trigger either a bullish or bearish movement.

Sad to say, but that's what I think might likely happen. The crypto community supports trump, so there is a big chance that the outcome will have a say.

Well, personally, I would want to say that a win for Trump is not entirely a win for bitcoin, but I think a win for him is kind of a right step in the right direction as regards bitcoin and crypto adoption in the US.

You and I know that US is currently the world power, though China is trying so hard to become the world power, they have not succeeded yet, and bitcoin gaining dominance and acceptance in the US ultimately means that the rest of the countries of the world at some point will no longer have any other choice but to accept and adopt bitcoin.

And so far, trump is the one man who have not only shown interest in bitcoin by words of mouth alone, he and his impending vice have shown interest in did and actions as well, Trump and his impending vice are said to hold a good amount of bitcoins and have attended some bitcoin meetings and conferences.

I read a survey from the US presidential election, akamal is slightly ahead of trump so the chance of trump to win is not yet certain. so we wait for further news because the US presidential election has not been announced. If trump wins it will have a good impact on the crypto market but if he loses we will see a big correction and the price of bitcoin will drop sharply.

I think that you could express your best opinion in this post. So i am also agree with this comment. We know that bitcoin is one of the best earning way in cryptocurrency market. If we spend money for investment and hold crypto currency market, i think that bitcoin will be top currency in this time. I also think that in future bitcoin price will hit $100k. So i also believe that bitcoin will be best profitable, which will be future gold in cryptocurrency market.

The expected price increase at the end of this year is possible, particularly alongside expectations about the US election which could offer another boost to the price of BTC and other assets.

Confirmation is all but here now, so I'm seeing the price is perpetually on $75K, but it should continue to clock up a few notches before the end of the month.
