Rombomix.io domain has been banned at the request of the government, but no threat to customers, they will restore operation soon.

This is a preliminary information that we were given by the team. The rombomix team will continue to investigate the blocking, and that within 24 hours all the work of the service will be restored.

This is BS. There is still a lot of pressure on mixer services, reporting as phishing or domain suspensions have become the main way.
Mixers would have to look for a slightly more liberal hosting and domain registrar service. Hostinger obviously isn't.

Shouldn't the government block be at the ISP level and not the DNS level and if it was shouldn't there be an error message? poilce report?


Anyway I can access the Tor version so maybe you need a better ISP and connecting to Tor gives a "not secure" flag so I hope to check it.

Shouldn't the government block be at the ISP level and not the DNS level and if it was shouldn't there be an error message? poilce report?

They are not sure that's what they said last night. The team is investigating the actual reason. However the clear net will be up soon with a new domain. I will give update when it is done.

That is why we are doing something, we should do with diligent so when the attack comes and if our hands are clean then they can't do anything. Congratulations to RomboMix for the victory. This is a common practice in every business. What matters now is that everything is back to normal like before, and users can continue to use the service to mix ETH again!

.com domains are better imo.

I see rombomix.io is still down, it would be interesting to redirect its traffic to the .com domain when things settle up.

This domain is suitable for almost any kind of website because it's widely recognized. It is so popular that, sometime it becomes hard to find certain names with a .com domain, which is why the cost is higher compared to .io domains...

There will be always competition in every aspect of business. But, it is too bad that there is a competitor doing an unfair way. However, you're right that it only means RomboMix is one of the best Mixers in the world.

Sure, RomboMix should be the first option for Ethereum mixing.

Redirecting traffic from the old domain to the new one had to be done by the team first of all, so as not to lose their former customers. But for unknown reasons, this was not done and now the old domain is not working. It is possible that this means that the team does not have access to the domain configuration.

Redirecting traffic from the old domain to the new one had to be done by the team first of all, so as not to lose their former customers. But for unknown reasons, this was not done and now the old domain is not working. It is possible that this means that the team does not have access to the domain configuration.

I don't think they have access to that domain, their DNS is unreachable.

Looks like the service is receiving attention. A few days ago an attack on the ".io" domain, now this phishing domain means only one thing which is there are scammers and competitors who are trying to take advantage of the popularity of the brand. Good for the business.

Not just that, it would be more effective if the site itself displayed an official announcement stating,

"Our current official domain is rombomix.com. Any other domains using the name 'Rombomix' are phishing attempts or fraudulent.."
