We cant be relying on what politicians are saying and this same reason makes it not to be more appropriate for us to include their effects on the way we are dealing or handling our crypto, in cryptocurrency, we know what to expect and what is at stake, while in politics, things remains unpredictable as well as the politicians involved, its better we don't work by their promises, because we will eventually ends being disappointed.

You are just saying that politicians can’t be trusted and we should not forget that bitcoin is a decentralized currency and politicians (government) will never be comfortable with it being used as a currency that will serve as alternative to their fiat currencies. Being friendly doesn’t mean they may legalize it, but it is better to be on a neutral ground and not expect much from them even as they can’t do anything at this stage to stop the adoption and use of it globally.

Most of the cryptopreneurs I've come across are not that interested in politics because they know its a dirty game as well as a time waster for them, they can make use of the same time and get lots of benefits in bitcoin than when vested on politics, this makes it more clear that the politicians needed us in cryptocurrency than we do needs them, because they have now seen the power of influence right from the just concluded US election form the crypto communities.

I can't trust Trump too much because he is a pragmatist. However, I find the change between his previous views and his current views normal and sincere because time changes us all. Trump may have gotten more accurate information on some issues over time. I think politicians like Trump and Bukele are sincere...

It would be easy for a developed country to do this and donald trump has announced his cryptocurrency support several times so crypto is changing. But everyone makes such promises before the vote but many forget in the future. But with crypto the idea may be correct because where there is profit, the government of a country will discuss it more. But of course the political context is not easy to understand because many people think that thinking about crypto will be a waste of time so they will want to take more political advantage in that case. I am sure Trump will have some of his crypto promises fulfilled, and some not fulfilled also. But what will give everyone joy is that the US is no longer as strict on crypto as it was before. However, many of us won't be much bothered if Trump doesn't later fulfill all his crypto promises

It sounds like former US president, mr Donald Trump is certain about his bold promises about his cryptocurrency support. Through out his campaign rally, and many of his  speeches, he had assured the crypto community about his commitment to the developments especially making the US the center of crypto mining hub of the world, and that every American citizen has the right to self custody of their digital assets etc.
However, I think that politicians all over the world will always use fare speeches to lure voters.

Well he won lets see how he does. Can't see much good if he does not change crypto rules so that the paperwork is reduced.

His 2018 like kind exchange law was terrible for crypto.  So I kind of think he is not going to help crypto much. Other than letting miners burn power and oil.

But sometimes I don't blame them they just need to be reminded sometimes cause when you are in the high places it comes with a very high pressure. If we cant trust ourselves in doing some certain things, then who are we to trust the so called politicians which demands and pressure are much on them, they hardly remember some of the things they might have said over time because there is much ahead of them in demands, though its a service to serve the people, but in real life, the people are the ones serving them because of their power.

Absolutely politics is a very tough master of us all. The world is not so big that you can fully escape political mastery anymore.

He promised to drain the swamp and a ton more and guess what, didn't deliver on a single thing.

I wish you are right about that, to be very honest, i don't know if he will deliver on everything he said about crypto during the campaign. Take note that it is easier for politicians to make promises during campaigns, and if they eventually get elected they find out that it may be difficult to implement some of what they promised or they just move over to other things.

I do not trust any politician because their words are not always true. They can say A and later do otherwise. We can't kill them for that or question their decisions. We can't only wait for the next election when we can have the power to either vote for them or not.

We can't tell whether Trump will give us an empty promise as he did in his previous administration. Let's see how his four years of rulership will be. Whether a big change will happen in his government

Donald Trump has won, since he has been elected. And his goal has been fulfill now. we will have the ability to see his capabilities. We don't have to argue much, because as he has been elected, now we will know whether politicians are trust worthy or not. Donald Trump has promised to make the united states "the crypto capital of the planet", let see what he will do about the promise he made. Though, am not a citizen of America, so I won't deny your facts, because I don't know why you have much confidence in  him. Since you said politicians need to be reminded about the promises they made, because they might have forgotten some, I will not deny that also. But to me politicians are politicians, they can do anything to fulfill their wishes, talk less of promises. Some do not forget the promises they made, but they only choose to ignore them. But I hope Donald Trump fulfill his promises now that he has won.
