How Does Memecoin Carnival Really Work?

This year's meme coin season seems to be the longest I have witnessed and actively participated. And for me, it's been the most rewarding having participated in several events and Airdrops, alpha calls etc. I've recently seen CEX celebrating memecoin carnival and offering users opportunities to trade and earn any of the prominent meme tokens like DOGE, PEPE, NEIROCTO, TURBO, WIF, SHIB, and GOAT. Not sure how this works yet or is there anyone who has joined the meme coins carnival yet?

The entire industry is based on short-term promoting where everyone talks about DOGE, PEPE, NEIROCTO, TURBO, WIF, SHIB but after a year we will only remember one or two names from this list. As for how it works, all you need is a large demand base, good marketing and a price explosion (which can be faked by creating fake demand).

There are actually a couple of similarities of course and also, there too are a couple of differences also.  One of the similarities of this year's so called meme coin season with previous ones is actually the timing. We are not that far from when the last bitcoin halving occurred which is actually supposed to come with a lot of meme coins all over the place which we are currently experiencing as well a a push in bitcoin price to the upside.

The only slight difference that I can pick up quite quickly is that the crypto space seems to be flooded too many Airdrops than regular. It's more like the amount of persons actually farming these Airdrops skyrocketed all of a sudden and also did  scam projects too.

The reason for this is the low fees on TON and the ease of creating tokens and making profits from them, and therefore many users are turning to using Telegram and easily making profits from there.

Yes you do have a point. To a noticeable extent it seems that majority of coins and tokens launched on the ton network aren't doing as much as expected and I think that can be traced backed to many of them being projects on the telegram airdrop system. The problem is that many people who farm Airdrops like this have no intents of investing all they wish is to mine as much as possible and swap to some stable coin or fiat as the case may be.

Generally when the sell pressure in the market is too high these tokens and coins tend to lose value at a very high rate. One reason why I think solana is progressing compared to Ton is that it has more successful projects on its network compared to the Ton network.

The intention to invest comes when there is a feeling that the tokens are undervalued and therefore waiting for several days will bring some profits. Therefore, there is no difference between Ton and Solana, on the contrary, Solana had weak performance during busy times and the blockchain may stop for several hours.
