ethereum is way too far ahead right now for any coin to catch up it would need massive growth from another coin to overtake ethereum and no matter what you feel about ethereum it has held up its own and has been relatively stable compared to other altcoins despite other altcoin’s big growth

During the altcoins season, it is actually not really surprising to see the change in coinmarketcap ranks.

yeah altcoins are volatile and when they spike in price, it goes high and if you bought some coins back then at a lower price and stuck with it and got patient you will surely be rewarded now

Yesterday BNB passed SOL's marketcap, and today it managed to beat the ATH of 793 USD 
However, there was a small correction and it has already fallen below SOL again
It's incredible how difficult the competition for this position is, and XRP has risen a lot

As at the time of writing this post, XRP has even overtaken BNB too, and I think XRP is on a massive pumps that may shut it up to the number two position on the Coinmarketcap table in near future..

Every coin in top 10-20 can overtake the top especially in a bull run especially with coins that has massive supply unlike those who have lower circulating supplies.

Yes, because if you look at it and consider the current market cap, ETH's position is far above XRP, even almost 3 times the market cap of XRP. That's why for now there are no altcoins that are able to compete and want to take over its position. While for now, XRP's position is still quite threatened by SOL and BNB which are still chasing their numbers, so you still have to be careful because there will definitely be various interests. That's why, actually the top coins are indeed that worth it and valuable for that deserve.

I don't like XRP too, and I think most of us are the same

I believe that this absurd rise in XRP was due to several factors, such as:

Possible new SEC chairman being very pro-crypto along with the Trump administration in 2025
Possibility of an XRP ETF
Several partnerships being formed with XRP

It is interesting to see the competition between SOL and BNB. Both of them now have market caps that are not much different, and the conditions for both to take over each other are still wide open. In my opinion, SOL is much more attractive at the moment and prepared for the new cycle, with lots of opportunities for airdrops, NFTs, memecoins etc. while BNB seems to be stagnating without much happening right now

Solana is going more bullish on every sides, it won't be a surprise anymore when we see it's market cap going more higher than BNB because of it perpectual pumping, also, when we look more about this year Solana launched projects and how they have been doing, we could arrived at something important about their rising on the crypto market, if BNB keep pumping as well, it will be contending the same position with Solana.

OP wrote this topic about 1 month ago and Solana is still perched above the BNB coin, it proves that Solana is stronger in all sectors than BNB. It's just that as far as I know if Bitcoin falters and drops then Solana will immediately drop and worse than the BNB coin so that the ranking on Coinmarketcap can also change and be dynamic.
I will make a note for now and can be seen someday as a benchmark when the Bull Run occurs in December 2024.

I also don't like XRP but sometimes I also think that maybe one day it will suddenly surge in the market that even though I know it's just manipulated by whale investors, I feel like I'm tempted to buy it even if it's a little bit.

That's just not my priority right now, Maybe instead of XRP I'll just turn to Ton, Sol, Arb, Trx and Pol at least these mentioned,
I can say that I won't really regret it in the end.

Already SOL has overtaken BNB in terms of marketcap Crypto's rank is determined by marketcap so now SOL is ahead of BNB.  The coins that are launched on the SOL network also do very well.  The future of SOL is very bright.  SOL is better than BNB even though already SOL has $4B more market cap than BNB already. In my opinion, it's very unlikely (but not impossible, of course) that SOL or any other network will beat ETH at the moment
Unless there is a major network failure

The ETH network is expensive for us ordinary users who spend little value, but large users use the ETH network a lot, L2s use ETH and the network remains secure
I believe it could take many years for another altcoin to overtake ETH, especially as ETH has a very active developer community

Wow, both coins are really good, they take turns overtaking each other. Previously, I even thought that SOL would be even more dominant in the future because the market tendency at that time was really SOL which had a fairly rapid increase, especially its market cap which was quite interesting here. It's just that, as time goes by, BNB has not given up and with the achievement of a new ATH from BNB, then its market cap has increased and even passed the previous AT. Maybe this factor also influenced it. But yes, it is true, whatever it is, both BNB and SOL are potential coins and can be one of the top recommendations for altcoins to hold longer.

Solana made this acheivement abd shouldn't relent before another network takes over from it, this is a race and we have been seeing new projects like Ton and SUI coming up with speed, but despite all, Solana still have a good ground to withstand all other projects in altcoins after ethereum and BNB, we may not say about what the near future can give, but as for now, it's one of the top and have the probability of beating BNB sooner.
