Can I teleport my rank multiple times?

• More progress on the Btt forum means that you were more active there, and this has no qualitative impact on the Altcoinstalks forum.

I think it does not necessarily means that the user is more active in btt.

Maybe when teleported the user was close to ranking up in btt. Also, his activity here could have been frozen for the hidden reasons .

I think it is OK to teleport him again. Admin wants to bring users here, so this could be a nice incentive

I search to find places to post worthwhile post here. I can post 50 posts a day between bitcointalk and altcoinstalks and macrumors.

But it usually ends up 10 a day at bitcointalk. 3 a day here and 3 a week at macrumors.

Maybe 100 posts a week between the three forums.

I am almost 1000 posts here. In fact I checked I am at 1226 posts.

You activity is high here, 1000 posts in a year is quite a lot! You will get new ranks here, when you can get past this 2000 activity freeze .

Comparatively the active users are less and even less the number of new topics so yeah I bet it's very hard to find the threads that suits your niche. It's still early days here and the real change started happening just a year ago so in the next couple of years the numbers might turn around into bigger.

Also mining is becoming not suitable for an individual, it's becoming a more and more capital demanding task so I guess especially the room for growth is not that much so I suggest building your interest towards something else too will increase your chances of posting here..

no.  but way back in the day I ran a Mac mini modification business on ebay so I posted on 123macmini (dead website now) and on macrumors.

It would help the Mac mini modification business.

I still use Mac mini's but apple hard solders parts and mods are too hard and too costly.


those apple forums and anandtech.com are how I got into the business of crypto.

I still do ebay sales but mostly mining gear.

Yes, of course your account will continue to work on BitcoinTalk, in reality one forum has nothing to do with another, except that they are both about cryptocurrencies. Different administrators, different moderators, different rules, but with cryptocurrencies as a common approach. If you look at the forum you will see quite a few users who have teleported their account and continue to participate in both forums at the same time without any problem.

Teleporting an account more than once should not be allowed. examplens already mentioned the points why someone should not be allowed to teleport multiple times. Someone ranked up on other forums, which means they were active there but not here. They should be active here to rank up if they want. For me, I became a Legendary here already, even after teleporting as a Sr. Member, while I am still a Hero Member on Bitcointalk. It's because I was active here.

Now, coming back the reality, I was allowed to teleport my rank twice. I vaguely remember, but the first time when I teleported I was either full member or a Sr member. And the second time, was my Hero membership. The admin was kind enough to accept my application. Tbh, I don't believe it's about posting there more and less here. Ranking up at BTT is far more difficult than ranking up here. One has to post a lot of quality posts to acquire the merits. But here, if you are simple active and posting on a daily basic, even in a single line, without spamming or breaking the rule, you can basically rank up. Yes the number of required might be massive. but it doesn't have to be of top quality. But at BTT, even if you post daily, unless it's of quality you simply cannot rank up.

One rank transfer is quite enough.
If this were to become normal, we could have a forum for thousands of Legendary members, and the same forum would be without content because no one wrote anything and yet they are all highly ranked.
In the end, if it is done because of better payouts in signature campaigns (which is a more likely reason), every manager eventually looks at the history of posts and someone without special participation in discussions is certainly not a priority for entering the campaign.

I agree with your point being inactive. When a person is intentionally inactive in one forum but the opposite on the other forum, I don't think that person deserved be to teleported. For me, when I teleported, or was allowed to, I was active in both the forums. Maybe not similarly engaged, but I hadn't been inactive for 1-2 months and decided to come back and request a teleport. AFAIR, I kept posting, even if it was single post a day. It was just that, I somehow ranked up way before at BTT before I could rank up here. It was similar to having the required merits but lacking activity.

The opposite happened to me. My account was teleported here as an SR member and I ranked up to a hero member here while I was still a Sr. member on Bitcointalk. Right now, I am a legendary member here, but I am still a hero member on Bitcointalk. So yes, I do agree that ranking up on Bitcointalk is hard.

I agree with examplens that if it became normal to teleport account rank multipletimes, then we will have more high ranked accounts without real contribution to the forum.

I would go further and say the teleportation should be quashed, maybe not now but in real soon because the same reason as mentioned above, if people just gain ranks without making posts then the forum will be filled with high ranking members but not really any content for the people to learn. Already we are lacking new topics here discuss anything.

Unfortunately agree with your opinion, altcoinstalk forum have given one advantage by teleporting account from bitcointalk to altcoinstalk with the same level before. But if not make any post in altcoinstalk forum just focus only at bitcointalk forum until raise new rank there seems not fair if want teleport rank or level account multiple time.

If any one have bitcointalk account almost raise new higher rank, better waiting until reach new rank at bitcointalk before teleporting at altcoinstalk forum and not require for multiple teleport although its not forbidden regulation.

Accounts cannot be teleport multiple times, that would be a step backward in terms of forum participation and would also be unfair to users who have never teleported their accounts. A single teleport is more than enough, the following ranks must be obtained by the traditional method including stopping the activity at 2,000 until the requirements demanded by the system are met.

I don't think you can teleport multiple times, give that it's not technically possible to implement.

Teleported members are assigned the 'Teleported' group, so when you ask to teleport your account again, that means you have to be removed from the group and then added back, and currently I suspect that the admin's teleportation script can't do this yet, so he doesn't bother so do these kinds of things.
