Making profits during bearish season?

Good traders are still able to make profit in the bearish season. Investors are the ones who look more to the bullish season than the good traders.

Who will you call this kind of person. Someone that noticed the bear market could have started, open 1x short position for up to or more than a year. Is this also not an investor? I think anyone that hold position for months are also investors. But it has a risk oti be holding your coins on an exchange which is not better like having your coins on noncustodial wallet.

On this note, is it only during the bullish season that Investors/traders make profits from the market???
Or there is a tendency of also making profits during the season of the bears.....

Traders, meaning a professional trader will always try to get profits at all times, whether in a bullish era or a bearish era. because it has become their profession as full-time traders who will optimize all ways to trade. They do trading according to price movements in the market in a certain period of time, depending on what kind of trading they do.

and the bearish era does not mean that they cannot get profits, it's just that the risk is quite high, and there are many cases where prices suddenly drop drastically, so that the position taken either Long or Short will greatly determine the results, then with various strategies to be able to avoid greater losses.

In my own understand - and to simplify things as much as possible - when one is HODLING or investing an asset including crypto coins and tokens one can be making big profits during the bull season and it is, of course, because the prices can be reaching all time highs. Now, when one is TRADING it does not matter if the market is bullish or bearish a good trader can make money on the market anytime using effective strategies under his belt based on experience and expertise. Many people are holding and not trading all because the latter is requiring skills and education while the former is very simple just buy and forget (but not the keys, of course).

Getting you correctly, simply means the bearish and bullish season mostly affects the group of users that HODL because it is a determinant of when they will be able to buy (ie during price dump) likely at the dip during a bearish season. And correspondingly to sell at a price pump (ie. Era of the green candles) likely a price increase during the bullish season.
While
Traders can jump into the market undermining the season to scalp out their profits anytime they like, knowing fully well that they are grounded on how the market trends. Therefore the seasons doesn't affect their entrance into the market rather it determines how they are to place a trade.

for a skilled traders, they make money with futures just shorting more than 10x the leverage. its been their trade. i once been tempted to do this but i'm just not the most skilled one for it.

but i bet there are lots of traders doing all these to profit for more after the bull run. if you have made a lot of profit in the bull market i guess they are not going to freak out to gamble in the futures market.

or the usual way to make money in bear is waiting for the bottom and then buy back what has been sold.

I think most professional traders actually makes money during bear market, and trading during bear run is common with future traders who has the experience to trade different leverage levels.
I think trading other options like margin is also good during bear run but not with high leverage. The best trading options is future and margin, spot trading is not good during bear run.

Traders has chance to make profits when the market being bearish as well, because even though the market is going down trend it's not a linear one, it's non linear which means there will be up and down if you look at the price chart in 1 or 24 hour candles which is where the traders could potentially make money.

While bearish markets carry more risks and potential sudden price declines experienced traders can still earn profits because they made good decision in thiss situation too. They can still make profits, but it's not going to be big as compare to the bull market. That's why the best thing to do during bear market, at least for me, is not to trade but to buy and do DCA and accumulate.

It's one advantage that we need to take during bear market. Price is all down, and we can say that it is on a discount.

One good example is when the price of Bitcoin is at lowest at $15,500. And now you just buy at that price or at least during the bear market. And when bull run comes, you hold and then you trade and wait for the right time to sell what you have been holding or what you brought during the bear market.

I am not capable of participating in both of the above methods. I choose to follow the market and DCA when I believe the market is at the bottom. At this point, that strategy is bringing me profits and I can also spend more time on other jobs instead of being constantly distracted by small market fluctuations.

Of course this can only be done by people who are experienced in crypto, they know what to do when they see market conditions are bullish or Bearish.
For beginners or new people in Cryptocurreny, they might prefer to be quiet and wait rather than step but eventually lose. But actually if we want to be successful in this Cryptocurreny, then we must learn all these strategies.

Actually as a bearish period crypto is used only when crypto is held for long time. There are a lot of projects that go dumping a lot so it takes a lot of time to pump those coins. Anyway, investors take profit during bearish periods and you may have to wait a long time for it. On the other hand, profit can be obtained by entering the bearish period for very short time. As that period is unstable due to which good profit is obtained in short time. Currently, the price of bitcoin has exceeded the record but in that case many altcoins have a red market, so we will have to wait.

They can also buy during highs for the future cycle to come, why not? 
Everybody chooses what suits them best, and if they apply DCA properly, they should be fine nevertheless.
