I think Bitcoin will reach $100,000 in a short while.
Sorry for spoiling you, but Bitcoin will not reach $100,000 this year.
There's a high chance that it will happen next year because that's the year when the market is peaking (based on a 4-year cycle). We might've saw Bitcoin ALMOST reaching it, but it didn't, and it will not in the short to medium term because like I said, there are many Bitcoin holders that already positioned themselves and want to sell all of their holdings at $100,000 price and this is the reason why it would be hard for Bitcoin to surpass that price. Unless there will be new money pouring into Bitcoin in the next month's then there's a chance that it will reach that price.
I think people hoping to sell at 100k price shouldn't be what stops bitcoin from reaching 100k, because they haven't sold yet and it's a norm for bitcoin price movement to dip after a sharp increase. Nobody knows if 100k price will be broken before the end of this year, but if not definitely after the swear in of Trump as the president of US, bitcoin price will reach 100k.
Well, I guess I'll quote what I said yesterday with regards to this one, and I'll admit my wrong prediction because just a few hours ago, Bitcoin has reached $100,000 for the first time. TBH, I didn't expect it, and most isn't expecting it as well.
Like you said though, after the sharp increase comes a short correction and with that huge price spike towards the price of Bitcoin, I expect a short correction. Now that $100,000 has been surpassed, it will now become a psychological support, and I just hope that Bitcoin will not go down to that price and maintain its price above it.
