Actually this is the first time I'm hearing that some countries the president and the vice president are from different parties. In my country it can never happen that way that the president and the vice president are from different parties.
That one would result to a great war even just after 1 week of swearing them in.

Down here, a presidential candidate chooses who will be his vice or let me say that, the party brings out the president and the vice. It's not possible for two different party to be in power at the same as a president and a vice president. However, the president is the number one citizen in the country and has the final say in the country. The vice doesn't have any power when the president is on seat. It is ideal but things don't always go as they wanted. If one of them changes their goal when seated in the office, then expect a rift to form. In the case of the Philippines, I believe this has turned out to be loyalty to family (and backers) vs. loyalty to the country. I think the VP tried her best to keep the spirit of the 'UniTeam' but the other party pushed her too hard to achieve their political interest and now she's fighting back.

The economic impact could be catastrophic if this escalates further but you know, investors are already leaving or the pledges are not fulfilled/realized because of President's decisions. It's more dangerous for them to invest in a country that's likely to be another country's cannon fodder.

In the last admin both (Pres and VP) have different parties. This time, current admin different party too but signed an agreement to unite these parties "UniTeam" and then run as one, then both win. in other country, whenever they vote a president they also vote for its vice.
its only in our country where the president's party is different from the vice. its intentionally done by the oligarchs in the country to make it easier to destabilize whenever the president doesn't go with their choices.

I've been reading that it's the US that made a promise to unfreeze those frozen 'fruits'. It's the reason why we have their military bases here now. I think Sarah's opposition to bongbong's foreign policies that attacks on her started (e.g. allowing afghan refugees here). As for the local oligarchs, they are definitely milking bongbong's presidency right now. He seems to have a heavy baggage like FPRRD said.

In my country, having a president and vice president from different political parties is not practical. Different political parties have their own ideologies and plans they want to implement when in office. Since the constitution allows for these two offices to be occupied by members of different parties, it should also include clear ways to resolve conflicts that may arise between them due to their differing interests. If such conflicts are left unresolved, they could harm the country's economy and its people

Well yeah what's happening in the country right now is I think because of the oligarchs personal interest and there are actually a lot of things that happened though I am not a political type of guy but based on what I have observed the administration is trying to kick the Dutertes team out of power they are trying to cripple it's foundation because somebody's dictating the President to do something against the Dutertes because look who are those people that critizes him on social media and on television it's likely the previous opposition and those rebel front that is in the congress. The country is full of BS right now I mean chaos we are facing threats both external and internal and yet politicians are busy throwing sh|t at each other, instead of working as a team to help the country great again!

In my own country and under the political settings, the president and his vice do comes from the same political party, except for other settings or organizations whereby this is not permitted, because they both stand out to have campaigned together under the same political party, i don't know if there are other settings whereby this different parties is being applied, but in my own country, that is the norms.

Doesn't really help when you're not saying which country it is and I have to figure it out, but again, you are wrong on your own issue.
Your president and vice-president were running mates, it doesn't matter what party they were if they chose to be allied, they were registered as the same alliance, what you were talking about being from the opposition would be a combination of Marcos and Pangilinan which obviously didn't happen!

So again, it's not inevitable at all, look at India, look at Argentina, and there are dozens more.
