Is it me or are like most of the major CEXs scrambling to make mini apps now?!

Seen one of OKX then Gate. io the latest is bitget promising users rewards if they used the mini app to trade. CEX. io even went as far as making a mini game app! Won’t be surprised if I wake up to binance on telegram too.

What is going on?!

they are creating telegram apps?  must be because of the popularity of telegram.

they wake realizing there are more people in telegram than on social media today.  its easier to make people come to crypto because telegram itself have wallets. even the regular people today who usually just stick to social media are now open to chatting outside messenger. easy to chat with someone in telegram.

Are they? I don't know that but if they do, they always do that. Whatever is on the trend, they are trying to get in so that they won't lose the trend. So, if the mini apps are the hype now, they are trying to enter the trend so that they won't be left behind. Unless, this is about some shilling of an specific exchange that you have mentioned that mostly is happening on the other forum too.

Telegram is a place where scams are more frequent and why an exchange should rely on different app? Why not build their own app because you mentioned mini app which I guess the app version for the smartphones?

It's getting wild out here! I've noticed that all the major centralized exchanges (CEXs) are suddenly creating mini apps on Telegram. OKX, and Bitget are already on the bandwagon, with Bitget even offering rewards to users who trade through their mini app. And even took it a step further by launching a mini game app! I wouldn't be surprised if Binance joins the party next. What's behind this sudden trend?

I don't understand why you are repeating the exact question the OP is asking. Do you read and understand the OP's post before writing your post reply as what is been asked already?

I haven't really take note of the recent apps that are been promoted because I make use of one of the exchange that you've mentioned above. But for sure, I can agree that the exchange I use often offer to give rewards for certain task that are been completed, maybe even for trading as well, but not certain of where the whole mini app is coming from.

Having binance on telegram, lol, that's very funny. The Truth is, as the crypto space continues to expand, we tend to see more expansion in other areas as well. The problem at the end of the day will have to do with differentiating between the original and the fake.

I tend to believe this is another trick to shill an exchange unique feature instead of genuinely asking about revolutionary trends. Even if exchanges do flock to Telegram to launch an app or whatever, I don't think I'll touch that if it means exposing my account details. There have been many cases where hackers exploit API permission or something similar to execute trades that benefit them. Exchange might prevent them from draining your balance but they can do other things to hurt us.

It seems some people really want Telegram to be super app or all-in-one apps, even though it feels like putting all eggs in a basket. So those exchanges simply ride the hype and give reward for both newcomer and existing user to keep using their exchange. It already happened few times, where exchange offer staking or lending feature.

I used okx to claim memefi drop on telegram. Maybe you should take a detour to telegram and find out for yourself. I’m not disputing the fact that telegram is full of scams. Barely used the app until the gamefi airdrops started popping up. The scams happen in communities not on the apps (at least the ones I’ve engaged with.

I don't use telegram other than it's intended purpose of chat, maybe I am old fashioned but it suits me well.

Like I said I primarily uses Binance which didn't notify of such kind that's why I said it's not a next big thing that you portrayed as battle.

It seems that the new user base is from the youth category or investors who prefer using the phone and therefore they will be the target group for such applications. I do not think that the old investors will think about downloading these applications, but the number of downloads indicates the growth of the use of such applications.

what is going on is that anyone is trying to make profit the way everyone is everyone is just following trends that is why it is so important for you to start a trend instead of follow an existing one they are trying to attract the most audience most customers and what is popular recently among investors? telegram and their mini games

They are all business ventures and they will go to where the marketing is most and they’ll make a lot of profits. Didn’t you see the statistics of the amount of new users that joined telegram only just because of this mini app games that are promising airdrops for their users? It was a large number that will bring the attention of this top exchanges to include their exchanges as mini app on telegram for easy accessibility to their customers that get to know about crypto through the telegram platforms. It is just for easy accessibility to their customers and I see nothing wrong in that if all securities that can be on exchange can also be on those mini apps when used on telegram.

I also use Binance and haven't heard of any bots. I always handle my own trading instead of relying on protocols I don't understand. Telegram might be the world leading voice calling app, but it's not a suitable environment for implementing financial features.

I'm quite cautious before trying new CEXs, as they might have excessive fees or users could miss some regulations, and Telegram bots can't replace human interaction. If I have enough time, using the CEXs native app is always better than sending orders through Telegram.

I don't understand what you mean by this, I need valid evidence such as news in online media or other information such as from the main website of each Centralized Exchange (CEX).

I have never heard any real statement that OKEx Exchange and Gate.io made information about Telegram Mini Games, can you provide valid information about this?

Nothing has happened until now and I noticed all CEXs are still as usual. I feel like this topic is kind of confusing me because of the lack of information given by the OP. Even Legendary members in this altcoinstalks forum are asking a lot about the validation of news like this CEX Mini Apps.
