I was reading through a project named XION, I'm not sure if most people have heard of it but it seems to be gaining a bit of attention mainly because of its token. Anyway, the aims to make web3 apps way more simpler to use by removing the need for wallets, making it easy to pay fees with USDC and other things like that. It was really a good read about usability and cost, it's not like it's anything special but it was still interesting. Has anyone read about this project? Let's have a discussion, TQ.

What do you mean by removing the need for wallets?, so all tokens are managed centrally? And will the team help to recover tokens if you forget your password or do you have to complete identity verification procedures?


I didn't understand you exactly but wallets (being your bank, not your keys, not coins) are a fundamental principle and a core feature of cryptocurrencies.

I still can't wrap up with exactly the op is trying to explain and why he made mention that they can replace crypto wallets. Like seriously? Firstly not everyone is a fan of Centralisation and Centralised platforms for obvious reasons like decentralisation and privacy.

Your talk about replacing wallets will definitely not work firstly they can't be a Centralised website and offer open source services like ELECTRUM secondly what then is going to happen to the concept of cold wallets and airgapped wallets? Like how do you expect to navigate through a website on the internet without having internet connection.

Sometimes it's not bad to read through project that try to innovate in one way or the other, sure there are a lot of flaws with it but don't you think someone might develop on this idea better in the future? It was just something I read about in the passing when I saw it on Bitget's pre-market, that's why I just tabled it here for a discussion.

Such development will lead to more centralized solutions, which means greater reliance on service providers. Even if these providers are anonymous or not subject to regulatory oversight, you may easily be defrauded.

I think this is getting interesting, cos I just noticed Xion on the exchanges launchpool. Seems as tge is close, they're giving users multiple ways to earn. I'm still in awe how their walletlees feature could enable dapp interactions. I'll need to dig deeper on that..
