Are there any reliable cards that allow crypto?
« on: November 30, 2024, 10:47:49 AM »
Well, I was just thinking about this today since I wanted to buy TG Premium. Some people are selling it for way more than the official price, so I was thinking about getting my own virtual card. I heard it’s possible to use crypto and buy stuff with a card that lets you spend crypto.

But I’m not sure if these cards work on places like AliExpress, Netflix, or Google Play. Has anyone here used one before?

Well I actually don't know practically how they work either since I've actually not made use of any of them. Anyways I'm sure a couple of Centralised exchanges like binance do have them. Recently saw a couple of blogs online that bybit now offers a crypto card service.
I think the reason some people are not that much familiar with these cards is because it's mostly Centralised exchanges that offers them and aside from that, many people too are already used to swapping or selling off their crypto for a couple of dollars on their card to use for spendings like online shopping.

You mean the crypto debit/prepaid cards? I have not used it before but according to what I read, it works just like credit cards but in a way the coin your are using in the card cransactions will be converted to fiat by the card provider automatically in a way the merchant will receive money in their respective local currencies.

I decided not to use one yet because I use the cards of the banks that I am using for such payment. I use it for Netflix, Prime Videos, YouTube etc. When the payment stopped working, there was one virtual MasterCard that I got on Binance which I used USDT to fund but it is in dollars after I funded it with USDT and I paid directly in dollars. But presently, my local banks are working for what I needed them for.

I understand why you are thinking this about paying too much for TG Premium. Using virtual card that uses cryptocurrency might be good solution. Some people use these cards to buy things online but I am not sure if they work on websites like AliExpress or Netflix or Google Play. There are popular cards like Binance Card but you need to check what they offer and what rules they have before using them. If you are not sure you can ask their customer support or read what other users say about them. But if you ask me about the telegram premium so I will recommend a website that is fragment.com where you can buy Telegram stuffs. Like stars premium and other things with TON tokens.

I personally haven't tried this one but I am happy if we have one here in my country or even online like the virtual thing and it should support bridging because you know that would be very convenient to us crypto enthusiasts. I wonder if we have that locally though I haven't heard of one using it but that's kinda crazy. Watching this thread for future references.

Thanks for the responses guys. Appreciate it.. I'll reply one of you now

Haha then you must be on the same boat as I am since I don't know how they work. And I also don't want to pay for a card if they require, I want a virtual one instead of physical. How does Binance, Bybit card works? (Asking whoever is reading my comment here  ;D)

I'm not sure but I think it's called a prepaid card, acts as virtual card instead of physical one. Also, I don't really have a card provided from bank as I am currently a student.. I invested some money in crypto and got some profit, I sell them thru P2P and get money to Mobile banking.. But mobile banking isn't a option in google play store whereas India has UPI system etc.

I know that platform, but after they announced KYC, I left it as it was. I used it only to buy stars.
Well, the thing is, you can buy TG Premium using the card payment option, but what about other things? You can't buy Netflix with TON xD.

So, I think it's kind of cheap and easier to use a prepaid card than someone else's card (and I don't know anyone who has one). So, I prefer virtual cards. Does the Binance card operate the same as the Coinbase one? I have a friend who uses a Coinbase card, but it's actually physical. I also heard about the Bybit card from someone here, and there's a card called Premier Card on Bitget. So many options to look at, but I'll wait for other users here with experience to talk about it on this thread.

I am not actually using one and in the near future am not planning to be using one, directly using my coins with a card tied to a centralized my account in maybe in maybe a centralized platform where there can be bigger risks involved. Though admittedly there can be a big market for this due to convenience as there is no more need to exchange the digital assets into stablecoins and then to local currency. I heard of cards issued by Visa and Mastercard courtesy of some exchanges and other crypto-based platforms though admittedly for now this option is not yet catching fire as we are more into HODLING these days obviously.

I don't use any crypto cards yet, but I want one next year too

The ones I see people using the most are these two:
https://www.kast.finance/
https://wap.redotpay.com/
Has anyone here used or heard of one of these two?

I can't personally recommend them as I haven't used them yet, but I'm comparing the two so I can apply for one

I have not used crypto cards so far so I have no experience with it and I am also not sure if it is possible to buy Telegram with crypto cards. But if you need a crypto card then Binance can provide it.

If your intention is to buy telegram premium and its crypto then you can easily buy telegram premium using TON from fragment.com. From here you can buy Telegram premium, star, username, number everything

Well, the thing is, you can buy TG Premium using the card payment option, but what about other things? You can't buy Netflix with TON xD.
Maybe you can list what things you want to buy with this card so we can filter which ones are suitable for you. I had one in the past but the company got shut down a few months ago. They work with Visa/Mastercard so any shop that accepts those channels can use the card. The major differences usually lie in KYC, fees, and coin selection afaik. Most exchange prepaid cards work the same way last time I checked. Btw didn't Binance stop their card service last year[1]?

We have crypto debit and even credit cards that could be used for the purpose but I am guessing bitrefil is what you are looking for. It's a platform that let you pay for almost every online purchase via gift cards and available over 180 countries. The one good thing is it also gives cashback and rewards on every purchases so try and see if it satisfies what you're looking for.

Re: Are there any reliable cards that allow crypto?
« Reply #11 on: December 07, 2024, 08:14:35 AM »
But I’m not sure if these cards work on places like AliExpress, Netflix, or Google Play. Has anyone here used one before?
the answer is no no and no aliexpress netflix neither google play do not accept any digital currency like bitcoin for example

i do not use any crypto cards and like it has mentioned that is because most crypto cards are offered by centralized exchanges and i think regardless of where they come from it will always be expensive since it has not yet reached the mainstream market as of yet eventho crypto is already being used in different platforms a card is a whole lot different thing if not centralized exchanges, i have seen centralized banks offer such cards which i do not think i will be interested any time soon

I believe that the cards will work with any service, because it will be a card like any other, issued by Mastercard, Visa etc.
The difference is that you will spend in USD for example, and the card will convert your crypto into USD at the time of purchase, with a spread

Correct me if I'm wrong, but as far as I know that's how it works and in theory it should work with any credit card machine
