BTC hit 100K USD: have you taken your first profit in this uptrend?

Answering to the thread title now.

I decided to sell at 100K and hold some USDT so I can buy back if we go down. I still hold a good amount of Bitcoin for the future so I don't miss the train again. Last time I was fooled by the bitcoin market analyst. I don't want to rely on any kind of news or prediction at this moment. I sold at profit and I am still in profit. Now, I won't be worry no matter in which direction the market moves.

To be honest, I am kind of afraid of seeing the current market movement. The altcoins are dumping hard, yet I do not dare to buy more alts at this point. This time, the market behaviour is kind of awkward to me. We are supposed to see an alt season once Bitcoin makes a new ATH and stays above the 100K price range for a while.

Bitcoin reached 100K multiple times, but we haven't seen much development on the altcoin market. Even a token like ETH did not managed to break it's previous ATH. Bitcoin still dominating the market.

So you've reached the same decision as me. I sometimes regret not waiting to sell BTC at 109K, but it's all good now that I'm holding USDT and can DCA into more altcoins at these lower prices.

Analysts don't want to mislead us, they also want to make accurate predictions, but the market is more complex than they can fully understand. I only refer to their opinions to get a more objective perspective, but my investment decisions will always be based on the careful investment criteria I established during the previous crypto winter.

Honestly, after years of following the press, I don't get the impression that they want to give accurate predictions for retail investors. Just take a look at how many predictions those people have given in the last few years and how many of them come to fruition. Even if they have accurate reports, they probably distribute that to their close clients instead of retails unless they can gain more profits from doing that (like fueling FOMO for example). I don't think they're a good counter argument for your investment decisions. Even influencers on social media who always fud or post copium analysis might be better.

Buying at the bottom and selling at the top is what every investor desires, however, it is extremely difficult even for professional traders. They can only predict the bottom and top ranges to place orders with stop-loss, they don't know the future!

DCA-RDCA is a more suitable trading strategy but not easy to implement. Regret will always exist but at least it is still better than losing heavily when all-in. I also hope that BTC price can soon reach 120K or even higher this season.

109K USD is almost the same as 110K USD, your prediction about the resistance zone was quite accurate! I don't think waiting for BTC price to rise and break through 109K USD to take profit at 110K USD is the right thing to do, you can consider higher targets if BTC price continues to rise in 2025.

The market is very boring, altcoin investors are suffering temporary losses while BTC price continues to move sideways and there is no specific trend. Market makers are testing our endurance, I'm also very uncomfortable but after taking some profits, I can continue to hold the rest until the end of this year!

When the price of BTC starts to drop, altcoins immediately drop much faster and it is even quite difficult to go back up. And this is the fun of investing in altcoins, of course the risk is much greater than Bitcoin. Moreover, there is no altcoin season yet, so for those who have been waiting for this period, it must feel very long and must be much more patient. Not to mention if someone chooses hype coins or shit coins, this will backfire and may even fail to invest because it will only become shit coins and dead coins.

Bitcoin in 2025 many say is not the same as 2021 and 2017, many Senior members and various Telegram channels feel strange because Bitcoin does not rise quickly but instead the ups and downs seem slow and are still stable at a price of around 93,000 - 103,000 dollars.
