I gambled on cricket once and lost. I do not watch cricket, so I am unfamiliar with the sport, the gambling options available in the betting market, and what they stand for. My involvement in cricket betting is what I will refer to as panic betting. I was desperate for a win, so I decided to try other sports to see if they were easier to win in, as I had been having a bad run with football betting. My cricket betting was based on the odds offered by the bookies because I knew nothing about the team.
I accumulated smaller odds with the mindset that the smaller the odd, the better the chance of winning, as was almost always the case with previous results I saw. In the end, I did not win, but that was not my problem; rather, I had cut three out of the six games I selected despite the low odds. The lesson is that a gambler should always bet on sports and teams he understands. Winning can occur when the gambler is knowledgeable about the sport.
