Why don’t we receive notifications for post we receive negative or positive karm

I have been wondering for so long now but I can’t find an answer so I will like to ask about it. I guess this topic might have been discussed here already but i don’t think I have come across it and so I’d like to know why it is so.
 
 Why is it that when user receive karma either positive or negative we don’t get notifications on which post the karma was given and the user who gives the karma is always unknown not as other forum like Bitcointalk. In  Bitcointalk forum who will see the users who gives your merit and the post which the merits was given.
 If notifications are given on which post a user receive a positive or negative karma then the user will take full responsibility and make amend to the post if it negative and if positive then the user will keep the good work going and put more effort to the post and make it more appropriate.
I guess most people might have come across a post like this but I just wanted to have a better understanding and for the new user to also have a better idea and information about it.
But if we receive notification on our post and the karma giver is known then it will be very helpful and motivating for new users after receiving a karma form high rank members they will be more motivated to keep contributing to the forum.

There are lots of discussions about karma here since many compared it to merits in bitcointalk just like you've said. I guess you should research it before posting.

If you think about notification on the telegram bot, i have disabled it temporarily.

About the one if who send/give you karma check the Eye of Sauron you need to pay for it with ALTT. About the thread/post karma comes, it's not possible admin post about and it's not possible technically as of the moment.

This has been already discussed multiple times and admin made it clear that there's no chances of making it public for the near future cause making changes in the Karma system might cause the whole system to crash.

So regarding the same issue I don't think we need any more discussion cause it just keep repeating the same content for that better to lock the thread for now.

The bots are unable to catach that data because admin have kept that part safe from others so no one can know who have sent karma to whom and which karma it was. There are certainly some differences between these two forums but we have other way to see who have given us the karma.

The eye of Souran topic started where admin gave us the opportunity to burn the ALT token which we can earn by making post and then converting the points into alt tokens or by buying them from the DEX.

This topic has been discussed a lot in the past and I've been with this criticism a few times. Also i have seen several replies from the admin side where it is clearly stated that it is not possible to change the action at this point and it will take a lot of time and may require rebuilding the entire system. Moreover, it is not possible to suddenly change the entire system of an ongoing forum. I think the admin and community of altcoinstalks are very skilled in this matter so they are the best to understand when what update is needed.

The main issue is that you don't give karma to posts, but to users.

The system is created in a whole different design than BTT merit , which is given to the post.

So no, we won't get those notifications soon

How many of us were able to respond as accordingly on every notification received via the telegram bot when we are being quoted or a reply being made on our thread, do we even consider the new topics created by some members in which we set a notifier on as well, maybe we may not see karma the same way merits is being pictured from other forum, because each has its standards and use as well as the mode of its community operations, karma is never a requirement to ranking up and we must understand on this.

it definitely is a huge ask from the forum i guess members want it for the purpose of self improvement and self reflection but we could just reflect back on our own posts and see where we lack and try to identify these aspects ourselves and make sure that we keep improving so that we do better next time

besides if you have made a bad quality post which could give you negative karma it’s almost certain that you will get a reply or comment helping you to improve

It is true that it could serve to make users think, but it is a double-edged sword. As we have said on several occasions, it would also serve to generate confrontations between users since some would possibly not write a post to try to help another user write a higher quality post, but would simply give them negative Karma. From that moment is when the problems and dramas would begin...

I think there's a reason for everything governing this forum, and I'm sure the moderators of the forum are aware of this. In BTT, truly notification is being sent to any user, for what so ever thing done to his post or activity within the forum. For now, I'm sure this forum is holding up to maintain a friendly place for it's users yet. BTT over the years has become very populated, and which has made the forum to be much strict than ever.

In time to come, there will be some adjustments, cause that happened some time back in this forum when it comes to ranking up, where the required numbers of posts was adjusted. Therefore, when the need for notifying forum users of +karma/-karma comes, the mods of the forum will make their decisions to do some adjustments.

Small rank numbers should not just be motivated when they receive karma from high rank members of the forum, but should be a general motivation when they receive karma from any user in the forum to improve on their post quality. The system of karma has been designed for a long time now even before we came to this forum, so it will not be an easy task to just make changes to how the system has been operating. The admins know better why they didn’t allow that even when a lot of users call for the introduction of it. It may just be better we allow it to die down and see what other features the admin will bring to the forum to make it more interesting to interact in.

I don't think require have to know who giving us positive or negative karma points, the admin have make own regulation in altcoinstalk forum about karma points giving discreetly and you can't see who give your points karma including positive or negative points.
Now depend on your self increasing post qualities to earn positive karma points and avoid from bad post if won't get negative karma points. The forum have limited karma distribution between positive or negative each 8 hours and protect for any bad sending of karma points what ever the post qualities.

Both New members here and high ranked members here by default can't tell who gives them Karma. The best you could see is just a notification that you received a karma but you can't tell which post earned you the karma or who sent it either. Sometimes users here do indicate in their reply that they gave you a positive Karma so that way you can tell who and what post.

Nevertheless there have been multiple discussions about karma and admin doesn't seem to be adjusting it anytime soon. Besides there are not that much Karma threads like there used to be a couple of months back.

The problem will be in negative karma, showing a list of those who gave you negative karma will lead to abuse of the system, revenge between members and caution in using it even if the post deserves -1.
So the best solution is to show the topics that got karma instead of showing the accounts.

It would be nice just see numbers like Karma (+4) and Karma (-2) for example, like reddit.  No need to show the user who gave.

The point is that currently posts don't receive Karma, just users. I don't think this will change soon
