That is really fair. Our parents are adult already. They definitely seen more and experienced more that we in our life. Talking to them about addiction, self control and so on is no use. They already know everything about it. They only lack "digital experience". Our generation are mastering that knowledge much easier than their. So they require only a little help from us. I would help them if they want to have gambling app installed. This is kind of "reinstalling or fixing Windows" problems that they ask from time to time.
I do get what you’re trying to say but I don’t agree 100% with your assertion. While it’s true that our parents are most likely to have more knowledge and experience on certain areas of life, including gambling, it’s also important to understand that the gambling world is ever evolving and a lot of things are coming into the system every single day, things that were never there before.
Speaking in gambling addiction, even if we could assume that our parents may actually know or have more experience than we do on this gambling addiction issue and thereby feel no need to talk to them about it anymore, it’s important to note that online gambling carries a whole new totally different vibe and experience, compared to the regular traditional form of gambling. Online gambling has potentially increased the convenience and accessibility of gambling, and while this is good as it has improved gaming experience, it has also made gambling more addictive too, which was never so in the olden days, therefore I believe there’s every need to remind them of the dangers of online gambling.
