2025 Any hope for The Nigerian Economy

With the 2024 coming to an end today being 31of December and with few hours left before we welcome the new Year as Nigerian let us have a sober reflection of how our government has handled our economy and look down deep within us with 2024 been marked with high inflation occasioned by the removal of fuel subsidy which has made the goods and services in the country to have skyrocketed

And with the presentation of the 2025 budget to the national assembly is there any hope for the Nigerian economy come 2025

Nigerians had one of the worst year in 2024. I guess it is the worst year since Independence. I think it is even not inflation but hyperinflation.

I guess that 2025 will not be as worse as 2024 but the inflation continue to increase while they may look for better ways to manipulate the exchange rate.

What I am expecting is a better government but nothing like that will happen is what I guess. I wish they would prove me wrong.

It's actually very derailing to see how much economic crisis has eaten deep into our general economy. The whole thing is actually very messy including inflation making things unreasonably expensive for their value. It's also heartbreaking that Upon all the talks and deliberation we are still experiencing crisis too in the oil sector and one problem is almost 100% of our transportation depends on it.

I completely agree with you because people should get concerned more about changing their personal economic situation than hoping on government to come to perform miracles for them because government in our country has failed the masses even to provide the basics of necessities
But the fact of the matter is that wether you plan of changing your personal economic situation or not you're in the country and every thing that happens in the country affects you infact there no way you can have a good personal economic situation when the environment where you find your self is not working because with the state of our economy it will be difficult for people to develop and have a good lifestyle that is economical friendly to the masses because inflation is really biting seriously on the poor masses

Hope is a most used and most obeyed word in Nigeria as far as all citizens are concerned. A lesser percentage of the Nigerian population already lost hope in the country and don’t see any good coming out from the country as a whole. As patriotic citizens of this dear country, we may not want to lose hope and will continue to wish for the best no matter the circumstance and nature of the economy as a whole.

Every years budget always show that a new hope has arrived and that the condition of the country will reflect the new years budget, so this year is not an exception and we hope to see the best for Nigeria in this year as the condition of the country as worsen compared to what it used to be in the past before this new regime.

+1 Agbe Economic crisis has really eaten deep into the system and that's enough for the average Nigerian to figure out that waiting for the government to fix their financial issues by virtue of amenities or regular citizenship gains like in some foreign countries is no good at all.
Infact people trying to earn a decent living via self employment opportunities they create for them selves still get hit hard by the economy besides their solid effort s.

One karma for you. Nigeria is not for the poor citizens again but for the middle class and the rich. Tinubu's economy is self centered and it only those who are closed to him are enjoying it. Tinubu has taking the 3rd corrupt position in the whole world. And we the good citizens of the country said what happened that he didn't take the first position in such a good reward. LoLz 🤣. According to his media broadcast and new year speech, he said this year will be better but I have not seen such in the country.

It is quite unfortunate that Nigerians had to go through hurdles just to make sure they survive coupled with the economic inflation and the hike in price of goods and services. Nigeria problem is a leadership problem because so far all the leaders that have ruled the country always love with the economy dwindling.

The set's of leadership we have had has not been able to really give her citizens the dividend of democracy as they have promised but economic hardship from time to time leaving them in abject poverty and penury. This current administration is even the worse of them all as it tripled the situation than as it used to be.

What I will say is that Nigerians should have alternative means of survival like being self employed or running your own business so as to sustain and distract them from the government brouhaha otherwise they would just remain sticked with them being disappointed and frustrated.

Yeah that's true infact the world is  not in support of poverty but still it's a problem in some countries including Nigeria which is not supposed to be so.  Nigeria is blessed with a ton of resources and none of them were exploited positively to improve our economic status rather they were wastefully lavished.

There are countries out there that didn't have half of the resources we had about a decade ago but currently they are far more improved with a better economy than Nigeria and it doesn't sit right logically.

As long as we're alive, there's hope. My advice is to focus on creating our own stability, rather than relying on the government to address inflation. From my observations, inflation seems to be worsening every year. Comparing prices, I've noticed that 2024 was higher than 2023, which was higher than 2022, and so on.

Let's be realistic, it's unlikely that prices will decrease in 2025. Instead of hoping for government intervention, we should focus on our own capabilities and strive to make ourselves stable this year. It's time to take matters into our own hands and work towards a better future, independent of government actions.

Trying to expect change from the same government that has put us in this bad condition is something that you should not waste your expectation on. Individually, as a citizen in Nigeria, I advise you to plan for your life because the government has no plan for you this year, and in the next one until maybe a better government takes over with a better administration. Best not to expect anything so that you do not get depressed thinking about the condition of our country.

Omo I don't even know..it's the same government that wants to use tax and finish average Nigerians yet no growth and things are still getting expensive. If only fuel price can be reduced to at most 600/500. And we start producing stuffs. Then we can see an economic rebound .if not, my brother e go hard oo

If you set up a business that you are cashing out daily, no matter how bad the economy is, you wouldn't feel it that much compared to people who are solemnly depending only on government salary. With the poor economy of the country, there are some people that are not feeling it, because they have made an investment to carter for their needs.
