Is abortion legal in Nigeria.
« on: January 01, 2025, 09:05:56 AM »
Is abortion legal in nigeria. No abortion is not legal,is an illegal offence in the country,it has become a day to day routine in the country, they don't care any longer about it's side effects, according to the constitution the penalties for the doctor is 14years imprisonment, while for the lady is 7years,and any 3rd party is 3years,but what i really notice is that this law is not effective anylonger, the government needs to look into it and enforce the law strongly, abortion is 50/50, it is detrimental;at the point of aborting you may lose your womb or your life,is better we say no to it.

Abortion which has to do with the termination of unwanted pregnancy which is common among unmarried people who ordinaryly should have abstained from sex is common in Nigeria.

I don't think abortion is legal in Nigeria, this is because recognised hospitals like teaching hospitals and other government facilities do not engage in abortion.

Hospitals and clinics that indulge in abortion are more or less mushroom hospitals

In Nigeria, abortion is not recognized as a legal medical procedure. This prohibition is based on the principle that abortion involves the termination of a human life, which is deemed sacred and inviolable. Many Nigerians view abortion as a morally reprehensible act that goes against the values of preserving and respecting human life.

An individual can aborted or terminate pregnancy only if the mother life is at risk or in a cases where by the mother has a illness that may cause her death in the process of giving birth to that child. The best thing is to terminate the pregnancy for the survival of the mother.

I acknowledge that in some religious practices, abortion is considered an abomination. This perspective views abortion as a sin, akin to taking a life. Moreover, terminating a pregnancy is seen as not only ending a life but also potentially depriving humanity of a valuable contributor. The future potential of the unborn child is unknown, and it's possible that they could bring significant growth, development, and positive impact to society.

Abortions is mostly practices in a private hospital., and it is totally illegal because the the death of a life is involved. On my own part I believe that the laws guiding the prosecution of those involved in Abortion is no longer being enforced as it used to be and this has made young people begin to engage in all such of atrocities like unprotected sex, all in the name of enjoying themselves. So I believe the law guiding abortion should be made more strict because abortion involves the killing of  an innocent child.

Nowadays people just buy drugs to abort the pregnancy, postinor-2 which is a know contraceptives is selling more than some over the counter medication even when the feotus has formed a little bit they take drugs such as misoprostol to just push the immature feotus out of the womb. Why participate in raw sex if you don't want to give birth they are birth control pills for ladies and condoms for men just use it and enjoy yourself why form a feotus is you are only going to kill it .
