I mean it also depends on what my children want to do. I doubt it will differ that much if you live in Nigeria, the US, or other countries. If they wanted to be a chip designer, they definitely had to enroll in some sort of education instead of building skills with YouTube videos. I doubt they can access practical experience without any connection whatsoever. Maybe you don't have to enroll in a university to make good art, just practice a ton, but you'll lack theories and other knowledge.
I do believe an ideal university education includes learning skills required for the job market, regardless of what degree you pick. CMIIW.
