Nigeria needs a ministry of poverty aliviation

Yes, corruption is the evil that plagues the country, and I believe the focus should be on combating corruption. Our country has an abundance of resources to alleviate poverty, but unfortunately, only a small number of people benefit from them. This is why everyone wants to enter politics in order to become a member of the elite who control the country's treasury.

Until corruption is eradicated, no development ideas can be sustainable. If there had been no corruption, there would be no need for the Ministry of Poverty Alleviation to be established because everyone would be well-off. If a water tank leaks, do you continue to pump water to cover it?

I believe you would rather find a way to cover the leakage or replace the water tank. So it is in the fight against corruption. You do not keep creating ministries when the root cause of poverty has not been addressed. If corruption is tackled, we will all sing hallelujah songs.

This is more like the saying that says " you can not bite the hands that feed you" This is the situation of our agencies, they can not do more than they can control as everything is beyond them because they would have to play along with their paymaster to making sure they remain in power.

Their boys are scattered all over the agencies doing their bindings so that they are not exposed, from their head down to the least are all the same you just can not see any genuine person there anymore as all are the same.

Truly, Nigerians needs Poverty Alleviation Body, Scheme or Unit, but Nigeria doesn't need it. Any form of governmental body created, it will be corrupted and any form of generating of funds will be taken for self purpose. They really are toothless bulldogs, they use their titles and uniform to intimidate the poor and those outside of the governmental bodies. And even when they want to act as if they are standing for justice, because they pay obedience to those on top of the hierarchy of governmental position.

The thing is everyone is trying to be optimistic about positive things that could happen to the economy but the problem is it isn't working out instead everything is getting even worse the economy is crumbling natural resources are being wasted and exploited wrongly. There are many countries are there that don't have 1/4 of the natural resources we have here in Nigeria but still their economy has a progress rate almost triple times ours.
The value of the Naira is so low that you hardly or frankly speaking you can't even find a broker that offers it as a currency pair to even trade.

This is only the few ones published publicly for eye service. Just few days ago an agent of the commission broke into evidence room and cart away $30k and a vehicle. How do you fight corruption when there's more internal corruption within the institutions.

The thing is everyone is trying to be optimistic about positive things that could happen to the economy but the problem is it isn't working out instead everything is getting even worse the economy is crumbling natural resources are being wasted and exploited wrongly. Of a truth, we are optimistic about good progress in our country but when the head is corrupt how do you expect the other parts and branches to do, this country is so blessed with natural and human resources but the powers that be are just mismanaging everything, no functional refineries, no factories, no industry nothing but all they do is just to drill and export to their companies abroad to refine and send them back to us to buy times 2 of what we are supposed to pay. The same people are the ones killing the naira value because virtually all they use are imported, they do not use locally made products but foreign. Now tell me who do you think causes the naira value to depreciate more? Do the poor and average citizens have the capacity to import things just like the high and mighty?

Being optimistic isn't a bad thing however at this stage of the economy it isn't going to help matters at all what will need is actually a proper government setting that will boost the economy and nothing more. Its a big shame that's that the Naira against other currencies like euro and USD is nothing to write home about frankly speaking it's not available for trading like I said earlier and the only places you can view it is something like tradingview if you are familiar with it.

And there you have it importation!! another huge problem that the economy is facing we literally import every single thing and pay unnecessary tariff and costs which makes no sense.
