Hamster, Dogs and Cats, where are they now?
« on: January 12, 2025, 06:42:37 PM »
Just a few months ago we had a dozen topics about those, things like:
Quote
Hamster Kombat is the top trend of 2024 in the crypto industry
tweets and likes and comments how Hamsters will revolutionize gaming, how cats and dogs are even better than this, how the ton ecosystem will outclass everything, people were talking about TON reaching 1 Trillion, Notcoin was supposed to be a top 10 coin and other ridiculous stuff

So, now that we're in 2025.....why are the topics about these coins on the 3rd and 4th page and nobody is talking about the revolution anymore?

Hype is over and that there is no need to spam them anymore. The memecoin Devs sold everything and early investors were also dropping the project.

They use to rise above the noise and telegram channels where too busy to answer a simple question. Now that it's over, users talking in the telegram channel are getting fewer.

When the hype is gone, nothing much to talk about again. That's how it has been in the crypto space. When a new blockchain or project comes on board, people get to talk about it as a new deal in the crypto space, but as time passes by, that new deal in crypto space begins to lose its irrelevance, and that turns out to be less talked about. Those that caught up with it, by investing in them lose terribly to them because they invest in them because of the hype they learn about them.

the answer is simple mate it was all nothing but hype yes it was a big hype as we can see almost everyone was participating in the projects and were seen discussing in different social media platforms and here in the forum as well but just like any other project its hype faded away and we have now moved on to different project to hype

lately i see people have moved on to those airdrops where all you need to do is to download an extension in your computer and let the software run and you will get points just from having your computer open

While I am recognizing that the ecosystem of TON and that of Telegram is really carving a big niche in this industry and in a way can be revolutionizing many things, this is not the all-encompassing big game-changing that some think it can be. TON is just one of the many popular crypto-based platforms that is contributing a lot in many fronts and will continue to do so many years from now. We have to understand that there is a limit to what the market can absorb and many projects can be shining so bright at the beginning but eventually they can fade as time goes by until a new one will be the focus of the limelight. This is just a natural run of things especially in this industry.

Actually, you will be create absolutely a best opinion in your comment. We know that seems hamster, cats will be very profitable for us. But we can see that it will be break our hope. So I believe that this telegram airdrop spread all over the world, so I think that it will be main reason for decrease it's value. But another we can see that dogs is also very helpful project for us. I think that if bitcoin price will increase, then gradually hamster, cats, dogs will be increase.

Bitcoin pulls every tokens up when it's price surges. So they are all relying to what Bitcoin does where th developers has nothing to do with it.

The more projects been created about dogs, cats and some pigs, it won't matter anymore because they are all just waiting for what BTC does.

Any memecoin that does anything else to add value to the token is a bonus.

It is so fast, majority of the people who are involved in the coin and process of it probably is in a different place now in the crypto verse.
That only means one thing. People are here for the money only, and after selling, they'll just abandon it and will not support it anymore, and TBH, it's kind of expected since those tokens doesn't even have any use case at all. I don't see any reason to hold their tokens TBH. It's just there for money purposes hence, we aren't hearing anything from them now.

It really is fast, and I've heard exaggerated things about these TON meme coins, but now I rarely see them now, or I rarely hear them online. While I'm still receiving notifications from their Telegram channels, the on every post it all. Before the airdrop, there's around a thousand more or less emojis being reacted. After the airdrop, that number reduced to around 50% or even more. Why? Because they don't see any good thing about these projects anymore, and they've sold their tokens already.

Where are they now? They are now on the bottom part already. Hamster has become a Dumpster. :D

Appear suddenly, disappear suddenly.. memecoin hype is like that... something that appears in a big way, usually has a community base that is not loyal enough to the development.. their focus is only profit, so it is natural that many new memecoins try to get the hype and then go home with 100x profit and after that abandoned...

actually it's not only $hamster or $cats that experience something like that, there are still many other memecoins that are not so exposed that also suddenly disappear...

if you look at the top memecoins today, such as DOGE, SHIBA and PEPE, they have a loyal community base... and we see recently is PENGU, yes after the airdrop that was very profitable for many people, PENGU is now a top memecoin too... but no one knows, whether this will last long or not... let's see in the future.

Shiba and Doge are different story.
Doge has actually a userbase, Shiba holders are there because they wait with their bags full for a tweet from Elon so that the coin goes up again as it did in the past, while with doge people buy and sell stuff, much of Shiba's resilience is because of the greed , and it didn't work that well for late comers, the coin is still 75% down from its peak, it needs a shitload of money now for a jump and with profit takers it's worse every day.
As for PEPE, let's see if it manages to live for a cycle before anything.

The meme coins not only failed at the beginning, but also failed to maintain their prices, just like other meme coins. They might be able to rise that drastically but it is undeniable that the price drop can happen very easily.

this time, both Dogs, Cats, Hamsters, and other meme coins were also not strong enough to survive. and in the end in the middle of the market drop, the meme coins also experienced a very significant price drop from the initial listing, or even from their ATH. That's why, always be careful when going to invest in that such meme coins, only for those who are really concerning with high risks.

But nobody said that at the start!
Everyone was looking at the hundreds of millions of users everyone as on the hype, everyone talked about how many players they have compared to the usual games, they were looking at the graphs of "adoption", and god forbid you were to tell them that in less than a year nobody will talk about it anymore.

So why is that only after the coin and the game actually fails is that people admit it was doomed from the start?

It has been abandoned which is a trend because airdrop hunters who continue to idolize them at the beginning once the price is destroyed they just forget about it, it is no longer strange they only take advantage of the airdrop value if they are disappointed their project is abandoned.

In fact, the hype for this coin is no longer there, especially since the hamster coin is very disappointing for its users, with a price that is beyond expectations, not to mention the distribution of prizes from the airdrop is very sad, honestly I have forgotten that I have a hamster, cats  coin in my wallet
