So a few hours ago, MARA mined this block:



Now before anybody wonders how they managed to perfectly assemble transactions that will make Trump's image, these are not actually real transactions. They are all OP_RETURN transactions used, and their size is virtually zero.

They also inscribed this message:

MARA DIGITAL HOLDINGS Welcomes

Donald J. Trump as the 47th

president of The United States of

America.

And then there's the full Constitution in more transactions below that.

In any case, it seems to be that the fee values were specially manipulated to make the ifferent colors you can see on this digital mural. Which I think is pretty cool.

this has been the issue for some after blackrock and other institutions have been buying the stocks of the miners because could control which transactions could push through.

all the works will be wasted since the time miners are regulated which they have their own council for this.

They've said they stopped doing so but every time they deny something one month later they come up with a brand new idea just as dump and toxic, probably the worst mining company from all the big guys.

I did not knew that is possible, how could they have pulled this off I am not expert in technical levels of blockchain, if anyone care to explain, I mean if that pool is public then how without any interruption they pulled this off. It is really cool.

So when the block will be closed and a new one will be made the pic will remain there. Correct me if I am wrong. I thought insibcriptions has made it possible to inscribe any kind of data on BTC blockchain where no one can tamper it with later but this way they can also post images, right? If they can make a image then a note or something is possible too.

This is really trilling to the spine. It is a true thing that the government of Donald Trump will have good effect on the crypto community in this tenure of office.
The coming of centralized and decentralized systems to existence, will be a mark in history for the entire crypto enthusiasts and industry at large to remember in years to come.

Yes, this kind of picture cannot be made with real transactions since there are to many large transactions that spend so much Bitcoin which would ruin the drawing. It was only possible by using thousands of tiny transactions. Evidently though, the transaction fees are cancelled out since they mined the block so they just get the block reward.

What struck me in the article in the link is that Iran which is on the US sanctions list has also started imposing its own sanctions on its citizens as the Iranian government recently announced that only Bitcoin produced in Iran can be legally traded!!!

Iran, which is included on OFAC’s sanctions list, is a hotbed of bitcoin adoption, partly in response to the pressures sanctions place on its citizens. (Notably but unrelated, Iran’s government just said that only bitcoin produced in Iran is legal to trade.)

I think the US government is thinking the same as I heard that they will only accept Bitcoin that has a (Made in USA) stamp, this is really ridiculous if every country starts accepting only locally mined Bitcoin and rejects other Bitcoin.

A Whole New Level of Suck, but why now, isn't it better to wait until the 20th, I expect them to do it again and maybe this was a test but it is amazing to see that they gave up 0.015 BTC to do this.

I think the US government is thinking the same as I heard that they will only accept Bitcoin that has a (Made in USA) stamp, this is really ridiculous if every country starts accepting only locally mined Bitcoin and rejects other Bitcoin.

How is that supposed to work out, particularly for Iran? Bitcoin is non-fungible, with no way of telling whether the BTC is from one country or another and that's not something even chain analysis can do since bitcoin addresses are not tied to IP addresses. And it sounds like something that a mixer can easily overcome (complicated by the fact that Iranian hackers use mixers too!).

as far as I know , this kind of visualization is only available at mempool.space.

Other block Explorer doesn't offer this kind of visualization of blocks, as it is non standard (not based in bitcoin protocol)

Anyway, very cool and another  way to monetize the bitcoin blockchain

It's not so much the pool but the way mempool displays transactions:

the thing is no other block explorer will see this image, the colors are shown because mempool.space shows the  tx in colors according to the fees paid,  so another explorer that has a different way to show fees will show a different image.

They basically constructed the block based on how mempool.space shows blocks, if the website will change that the image will disappear.

Honestly I don't know, this is what the article mentioned but I don't know if it is possible in reality because this is very difficult as you mentioned.

Is it possible that they are thinking in the same way as the United States by stamping every Bitcoin block produced in mining pools in Iran with "Made in Iran"? But as far as I know, Iran does not have any large official mining companies or pools, although there are many Iranian citizens who mine.

So I don't know exactly how they will distinguish "Bitcoin produced in Iran"?

If Iran tries to do this then every single one of those mining companies is going to be sanctioned by OFAC, not because they are crypto companies with 'dubious anonymous history' but because they are directly affiliated with Iran. Trump's cabinet pick for Treasury said he's not going to shy away from using sanctions as a means for propping the dollar, despite anything else you may have read about crypto and Trump elsewhere.
