I believe that using karma scores for voting is not so useful, it is a community vote if we put the karma stakes it becomes a vote for only a part of the users and we lose the concept of a united community. Maybe 10 karma points are enough to keep out inactive users and avoid vote manipulation
Yes, you are right that it is a community vote, but floor limits must be set or we will see waves of new accounts voting to steer the vote in a specific direction, just as happened with the proposal to associate Karma to increase rank.
I don't know what happened when the karma system was introduced, I wasn't registered on the forum yet, but I trust what you say. However, I am convinced that 100 karma is excessive and would keep too many users out of the vote
50 karma can be there but in my opinion there are also many, many users who have been registered for years on the forum may not have this requirement and it would only bring discontent
20-30 karma could be ideal, it would keep out new fake accounts and only a small part of users
