yes i do think bitcoin will continue to be a dominant presence this year but i do think there will be a period where bitcoin will falter a bit and start to show bearish signs and that can be the period where altcoins can be stronger and show a little bit more there will definitely be some shift somewhere in the year and we might see some bursts of excellence in the next months but to see an all altcoins dominant period then we would have to wait for a bit more i think

I do think that's the case too.
We have much to see yet regarding BTC and some months at least need to be passed in order to see the sentiment changing on the market.

I think it has been this way since the start of last year 2024? We have the Bitcoin spot ETF approval that push the market, and then in May the Bitcoin halving. It really left the altcoin market, and since then they haven't recovered specially those top altcoins, who are still way below their last all time high while Bitcoin had a lot already.

So this could be the first sign that Bitcoin and altcoin market are decoupling already. But who knows, maybe in the last quarter we might see the bullish sign for some altcoins.

Bitcoin is the main influence on how all altcoins move and when Bitcoin moves up then the altcoins will also move up, but with the note that dominance follows and does not spike suddenly.

Altcoins will continue to follow Bitcoin, especially when Bitcoin falls, altcoins are falling.
What is awaited is when Bitcoin's dominance drops and the price of Altcoins will recover quite quickly.

Bitcoin now after reaching $100k++ continues to rise and is trying to break the ATH again, the most awaited target is $150++ and this is still quite realistic for this year. or even more if the trend remains good.

Bitcoin is doing amazingly in it's price movement, hopefully they don't give it a silent treatment in the end. It will only kill the trend it has been keeping. Bitcoin price is very difficult to keep because a news can do every pump but as soon as the news don't come again, people don't have what to use as a news to move the price, that's what I don't expect from Bitcoin.

The way I'm also seeing the altcoin market, there is a trend which some coins are  going to see some blast definitely but it's not all of them that will move up. Like the way meme coins are pumping, if only some altcoins have a way they can be accepted as meme coins, they will accept it.

In my opinion, it does not look like Bitcoin will falter this year as you mentioned, it is on records that bitcoin has drastically being in full control of the market for the past five months. Many Altcoins has not been able to hold the Bitcoin dominance and frequent market dips or dumps, It is quite unfortunate that we may continue to experience this dominance trends for a longer time in the future. It remains unpredictable for altcoins to make stronger moves that will reduce Bitcoin dominance and trigger the altcoins Bull run, probably this year.
In addition, I think the biggest challenge for altcoins Bull run is the consistent demands for Bitcoin overtimes.

Yes and to be honest I didn't really expected that  I thought that after making dump I mean the correct on market of bitcoin the altcoin market dominance will be increased as to pump out the altcoin season but I see the hole thing is going on opposite.

Look at recent meme / AI launches and you would see that they all are dropping in price, in my opinion.
BTC is still there and the rally for it is not over, simple as that.

Altseason is not happening yet because it's not the right time but I'm longing it will happen this year. I think that bearish season will happen next year, so I believe that as long as it's not happening yet there is a big chance that altseason will come true. Memecoins are already there since the last cycle and I don't see much differences to these days, and also there are still investors to come and invest in crypto.

You see this crypto market right, I have understand that people have one goal and that's to make money and nothing else, that's the only thing they understand and want and nobody really care about tech that much, there are people that like the tech aspect but they are very few that's why you see meme coin getting millions and billions of volumes.

Altcoins are getting increased in numbers almost everyday, new projects, new ideas and new team including old teams creating new similar coins all the time and you really wonder why many coins when there is nothing too different from the previous ones. This is why Bitcoin is unique.

In my personal opinion what I think yes we will find that there is lots of people even the professional even holding Bitcoin they also want to diversions  in their investment. And for this they took also some investment on altcoins and this is why we need  altcoins season to make and generate some profit.
To be honest I also need a good altcoin season because of all my investment on altcoin all goes to above the 70% down. Even then I was in profit  a few days ago.

In my personal opinion what I think yes we will find that there is lots of people even the professional even holding Bitcoin they also want to diversions  in their investment.

When you diversify you buy stock and real estate, you buy Nvidia and Oil, you buy gold and tech shares, you buy bonds and precious metals, that diversifying, buying bitcoin and altcoins is like buying shares in Nvidia, intel and or Mercedes, BMW and Toyota.
I'm inclined to think professionals will buy btc and gold, for example, not btc and some other altcoin.
