Reason for Obsolete boards

I just realized that any topic related to any crypto can be posted under Cryptocurrency discussions which makes the dedicated board for each crypto become obsolete. So I guess we need an update for the guidelines for posting topics on the discussion boards to make the other boards more active or else we may see more boards will be ghosted in this forum and all the threads will be dumped under one board which also spoils the purpose of having dedicated boards.

Congesting boards or rather getting rid of some of the sub boards has both advantages and disadvantages too. Now just like you said reducing the number of sub boards will make the existing boards more active or rather more interactive but the disadvantage that acompanies it is information sorting. It easier to locate posts or topics and threads when they are all sectioned according to the context instead of having them as a group.

If you can recall before many bitcoin talk members teleported here there were some boards that seemed practically irrelevant and in the end after some threads raised about them admin actually adjusted some by congesting them and getting rid of some totally.

Usually this is always what happen then mods just move them after someone reported the thread. That's why it's rather to have few numbers of boards as generals than to have more boards pecifically for a certain topics.

This is not about boards are being active or not but we are in a situation where a thread can fit into multiple boards and it leads to users just using the one board called cryptocurrency discussion to post everything. I can't able to find out what's the possible solution for this either other than removing the one board and let the other sub boards free?

If you are going to use Cryptocurrency discussions for all altcoins than you are going to have one big mess without order.
I am not against having separate boards for most top altcoins, and members can use that for anything related with that coin.
If there is no activity for a long time maybe we should retire some inactive boards to make forum cleaner and easier to use.

Removing boards that are inactive is preferred than making one general boards for almost everything related to cryptocurrency. The different boards created for different topics/discussion makes all discussion to be spread apart and ease of tracing a topic.

Speaking of Cryptocurrency Discussion board, there are topics that can be discussed there, and if there are topics raised that is not supposed to be in that board, it should moved to the appropriate boards, so as to maintain the other of the forum.
