Another pool on karma.

So I was at 201 karma and dropped to 198 karma I did a different poll about this today. I got a response I liked and decided it called for a new poll

So I am at 198 plus I know I got at least 4 negs which means I got 202 plus.

I would love to see my plusses vs my negs

ie maybe I am 250+ and 52-

or maybe I am 202+ and 4-

I know I do attack eth because I do not believe in it I know I get a decent amount of plus karma but I am in the dark as are most of us as to the exact numbers.

Before now I too have experienced very similar thing quite a while ago where I was getting unnecessary negative Karmas knowing fully well that I didn't make any shit post or scam anyone in fact generally do anything that should logically require receiving a negative karma. That can be sometimes pissing because it's basically something I don't do normally since I don't give negative Karma except to scammers.

Well nevertheless I have given you a positive Karma to cover up for the negative Karma given since I'm sure you aren't a shit poster judging from you bitcoin talk profile most especially.

Though admins stated his reasons for not making it transparent, I just wish it was. Sometimes it's best to know what's going on behind the counter.. someone might just be upset with you for no good reason and keep giving you the negative karma

I don't want two separate counters for positive and negative Karma because it makes it more complicated but if it's possible then I would like a feature of enable/disable view to keep the user interface clean since we already have tons of information under the profile so adding one more will make it but more messy.

I like the proposal, I certainly think that improving the karma system and connecting karma points with the quality of posts would be generally useful for the forum.
However, our wishes are one thing, and the possibility of implementation is something completely different.

As I stated I do not give what person gave me the karmas, but I do care what the threads and posts do.

So if I knew what was earning and what people liked I could understand my audience so to speak.

Same as if I know what gets the negs.         

Since I am anti eth if that is how I earn my negs its cool .

But if they are simple trolling on legit efforts that most people would likely agree with that is informative in a different way.


I have zero need to know if 1 person does all the negs or If it Is different people.

I could see people giving me negs for my eth posts especially if a guy got in with 3 or 4 eth coins at 4500 and is holding on for dear life hoping to get back to even.

Yeah you do have a point there are a lot of trolls and backstabbers or should I call haters sometimes on forums like this and with the current karma system the fact is it's actually possible for them to gradually rip off your positive Karma from time to time. Nevertheless it seems the karma system won't be like the merit system anytime soon.

Like I said earlier on many topics concerning karma has been raised in the past but from all the replies and the end products of the threads, I don't see these kind of amendments in the karma system anytime soon.

Yeah but it would be nice to know my earnings of plus and minus as I could at least see if it was trolling or disagreement when I get a minus or if I get a plus I would also know.

I talked about similar proposal sometime last year- if Karma senders are not visible at least give us access to see the Total +/- Karma. I will like to see how many total -Karma I've received since I became active here and maybe a sum total of my sent +Karma and -Karma.

Not just you have talked about this multiple times other members here I've also discussed the issue of karma multiple times here but like I said earlier I don't see any changes happening anytime soon. The thing is everyone wants to see how most especially negative karma is being given. At least everyone wants the post that was given karma to be visible even if the sender isn't just like you mentioned too.

As for people sending karma most times I noticed sometimes you can tell who sent you karma because they usually signified in their reply.

Actually you don't seem to understand my point. I am not seeing you can accurately give account for every single karma that you receive because basically you can't except you have the feature of eye of sirus on this forum. What I'm actually trying to point out is that since the karma system is more like everyone is blindfolded members are trying to create ways like specifying in their reply that they sent karma.

It's not a 100% effective but to an extent it's still shows a little direction sometimes of who sent you karma.

I don't think this is necessary .

You are trying to make negative karma less important, but i don't see much negative karma around. Everyone receives negative karma  that is perfectly normal.

And the amounts of negative karma are so small that doesn't make much difference. I think forum need much more important things to fix and upgrade
