They have so much that it is unbelievable that they have that money to believe for. And they are not just getting football partnerships but even in basketball, look at what crypto.com did. They have bought the naming rights of staples center from the Los Angeles Lakers for how many years. This is the power of cryptocurrencies, they've got so much that they even spend it for huge partnerships like these.
It is true that the crypto exchanges also have one the huge revenue what we can't imagine. And that is why they were also affording many expensive promotion such we were seeing they were going partnership with many sports club and teams.

But some time I have also some questions arise in mind after seeing the FTX indecent because they were one of the top exchange who were connected with the most expensive promotion and then we see they were also bank rupt that's they were making their expensive promotion via their users fund.

My question is: how do these exchanges have so much money to invest in these partnerships, or are they generating revenue from sources we're not aware of?

Anything that has to do with the public and pulling of traffic could be if a better advantage for both parties, it happens like, we are having an avenue that could get the global attention and you want to leverage on our site or location in making your own advertisement as well, at the end, they both will have a huge and tremendous benefit on the partnership, this is one of the most recent patterns organizations and companies used to make their promotions

If you are a good observant, you should be seeing different casino advertising on football pitches, they all want to reach out to people about their platforms.
That's true, some casinos even become official sponsors for the whole season for a PL team. I'm more surprised by that compared to exchanges buying an ad slot in La Liga or Premier League tbh. I remember even a tier 3 exchange that went bankrupt a few months after their launch managed to buy an ad slot too, which goes to show that the cost to get one is cheap or capital an exchange has is much higher than what we expected. Not surprised tbh, especially if an exchange applies expensive withdrawal/trading fees from the get go.

you are already in the crypto forum and you should know that crypto industry is generating a lot of money these days that you might be underestimating how much money is involved in the industry tech companies are one of the most profitable industries out here so add that to finance crypto generates lots of money
Quote
or are they generating revenue from sources we're not aware of?

You can easily understand this when you look at the market size of the exchanges because they have a lot of profit so they can easily enter into partnership with football. If you want to look at the top exchanges they make a lot of money because they have a lot of investors who complete a lot of transactions every day. The most of people love the game of football so any big organization would want to advertise with football. Because advertising with football will increase the number of customers which is profitable for an exchange.

I think have bigger effort for any top exchange looking for top football teams as their partnership, there are have Manchester City as top Premier League football teams have partnership with OKX exchange have running around two years ago and right now keep existing.
I think good ideas from exchange market get effort by top football teams in the world for promoting their exchange market website, recently last two years ago Binance have promote or advertising their exchange market at Lazio football club, but right now have end the partnership but waiting another big top teams during Binance still have top players Cristiano Ronaldo as their ambassador.

They usually focus on investing in smaller teams and the teams that are not so popular yet, and by doing so they're able to afford partnership and sponsorships in this club. Exchanges just like Casino's have a budget marketing and will usually make sure it is an amount that does not threaten their business.

Like Binance which is the official sponsor of Cristiano Ronaldo and of course it is very expensive to be able to sponsor Ronaldo.
Then Leonel Messi who is Bitget's Brand Ambassador and of course is also quite expensive for the best world-class players.

Top tier 1 exchanges have a profit of millions of dollars quite easily, but they also invest by using very potential advertising.

some also use football clubs and other well-known sports so that the Exchange will be better known and have many users who keep logging in and making more profits.
Nowadays the use of VPN is so normals almost every 2nd person have free VPN in their phones or any third party app that shows advertisements on free version and I have seen a lot of advertisements of Binance on people's phones even they don't know what that is in my region people take it as some kind of earning application.

They also think we can make money from it so when they search it on YouTube they found scam people who have titles as "Make money from Binance without investing" and "trade without money" titles like these don't know how convince many people to believe on them.

But point is these advertisements are really making a great vision of the whole crypto market as well because this way people can get into market and money can flow from fiat to crypto can increase dominance that's what we all are waiting for.

My question is: how do these exchanges have so much money to invest in these partnerships, or are they generating revenue from sources we're not aware of?
It's probably best to go to the company's SEC filings and look at their filed papers that's publicly available. If you know how to read one, you'll get a lot of information there. I think before the once popular exchange that rivaled even Binance declared their bankruptcy, people scrutinized their annual financial reports and found out irregularities.

My question is: how do these exchanges have so much money to invest in these partnerships, or are they generating revenue from sources we're not aware of?
As far as I know, the income of this exchange is very large and for advertising on a football uniform, I think it is still low from the exchange's income. Let's see that Binance has many tokens launched using BNB fees.
Just look at coinmarketcap if BNB in the market has a very large marketcap and for an advertisement on a football jersey, I think it's still small.

https://news.bitcoin.com/binances-2024-year-end-report-reveals-100-trillion-milestone/

That is a reference to Binance getting profit in 2024, according to this quote:
Quote
Binance also had $30 billion in annual inflows, eclipsing inflow totals for its ten largest competitors “by a significant margin,” according to the report.

Is OP still in doubt about Binance's yearly profit that is able to advertise on football jersey costumes?

The most common football club that we see them advertising exchange everywhere on their pitch and jersey is Manchester City. OKX exchange is in partnership with them. However, it doesn't mean that these exchanges pay a huge some of money. I believe they come in agreement with the club. If exchanges are not making profits, they will pack up and there will be no new ones coming on board.

Actually, here what is the main point that is not the fake or the real one on these kinds of promotion but here what is really notable is are they really afford that or just doing promotion like the FTX exchangers who is just using their client for the promotion and also get some times bankrupt.

But I think believe currently many types of crypto exchangers were in that place where they could really afford the partnerships with the football team.

My question is: how do these exchanges have so much money to invest in these partnerships, or are they generating revenue from sources we're not aware of?
They make their money from Transactions/ trading fees, listing fees, lending services,  fans tokens and even gains from assets appreciations.  There are many other ways they can make their money from the numerous people who use their services. The fact that these exchanges can even partner with these big football clubs is already a big proof to show that these exchanges make lots of money.

These exchanges are business people who understand the importance of such a promotion, especially to such a large audience and important personalities. No matter what it would cost them to get into such a partnership, definitely exchanges with recover all the costs.
