Why I faded $BERA

So, I fumbled the $BERA airdrop no testnet, no free money, just pure regret. Meanwhile, my cousin, who barely knows what a blockchain is, wakes up to $25K in free BERA and now expects me to be his personal chart analyst.

Then came the launch $15 to $6.5 faster than my hopes and dreams. Now it’s back at $8+, and I’m just refreshing charts, whispering “please go lower” so I can at least buy something.

Moral of the story? Testnet participation is not a joke. I’ll be back for the next one… but until then, I’ll just keep pretending I’m happy for everyone else. 😭

Yes, many made good amount of money via $BERA airdrop but just like you I also was not able to participate with this testnet and bounty program maybe it just slipped it out of my mind at the time after somebody invited me into it. Actually, I find testnet to be sometimes difficult so I stay most of them but the way I am seeing it now is that this can be where the biggest money in airdrop is...not anymore the tap-tap-tap in TG anymore as they are usually deluged with many participants resulting into breadcrumbs unless you can sponsor hundreds of people.  Bera is now for me a symbol of regret of not taking action. Hope we can still be given the chance to get some good projects in 2025 as I am tired of not receiving anything of real value for the past many months.

ring the bells that might be the worst decision you’ll make in your life when an altcoin just launched and is dipping in value it is an indication usually that it was pumped and dumped and now the best you could do is sell the ones you have if you continue to hold, worse to buy you are just setting yourself up for failure

regret is common with this but there are lots of airdrop projects out there just learn from this one and bounce back

         -     Last year I saw Berachain on airdrops.io and it listed potential airdrops and the instructions there were that it had a testnet, where you had a free faucet that you could get and the faucet that you got would serve as a transaction fee and could also be used to buy coins that were on the testnet.

Just so that the person managing the Bera platform could see for himself that you were using it via testnet, you had to do some activity on it daily, like swap, buying, futures, I was able to accumulate other utility coins that it had, I also used it for a few months and then until I stopped doing activities on it, I didn't realize that it had been listed on the exchange. I have no idea if it actually had airdrops or if I was a qualifier.

Participating in testnet isn't a joke... only if you have enough time to do it because I also did Berachain back in 2024 when it was starting, but I became lazy because the tasks that you need to do (transaction part) is a bit repetitive already.

Well, I'm a bit disappointed on myself as well because I'm not eligible for the airdrop, but at the same time, it's a lesson for me that I need to be patient enough to wait. In reality, not all testnet project can give you huge free money like what happened with Berachain because most of them ending up not worth the time for the testers.

Whatever the case is, I regret not continuing with Berachain, but instead of thinking more of it, I'd rather move on, move forward and think of what I will do in the future when it comes to airdrops. Moral of the story? Join all of the possible airdrops and get overwhelmed and LAZY!

Sometimes I ask myself why all these airdrop information does not get to me in time and now I get them in time and ignore them because of the experience I have had in wasting time for some unreasonable airdrops that couldn't pay their Participants after a.long time of engagement.

I got to hear about Bera my friend sent it to me as well but I ignored it as there were lots of airdrops that disappointed with their the, they gave out dust to the community and nothing good came out of the projects.  With all these experiences, one would just ignore airdrops and not think about it anymore and that was what happened to me and I missed somany airdrops opportunity which I could have raked in good amount of money as profit.

One thing about these altcoin is that you can't entirely predict how they move especially when they are newly listed you would see them at some point then next day dip and you may think is gone then what you see is boom. Then you starts regretting that you should have filled up your bags while you met it some certainly price, the price has soared about expected but if you study the candle correctly you would also see that after some moment the price would significantly dropped to something unrealistically that you can't count on it.

It's what I've been saying for months: participate in the airdrops, farm some protocols, both those that don't need to pay anything (testnets) and those that need to invest some capital
A lot of people have earned a lot of dollars simply by posting content about Berachain on X or Discord
For Berachain, it's too late, but there are many other testnets to participate in and many other airdrops and projects without tokens

Find the time, stop being lazy or unwilling and take part in something. The crypto market is giving away a lot of money

I agree, if the airdrop has been distributed and we don't get it, it's better to move straight to the next test net where we can still complete the task so we can be eligible, rather than brooding and looking at the achievements of people who make us sick.

Are you sure your friend getting $25k in bera tokens is solely from testnet participation alone? For most, testnet activities yielded handful of tokens or none at all.

You will keep chasing the dream of finding a good token, its price rising, and being able to sell it at a suitable price. Here, analyzing the tokens will take time and may not give accurate results, while relying on luck will be closer to gambling. Therefore, the only reasonable option is to subscribe to the largest possible number of tokens, but considering the profits and time, it is better to learn a skill that will generate income for you and use it to invest in Bitcoin.

Have you bought now because it went down to $4.7 yesterday and now trading at $5.3, so you have the chance to buy now. Hope you are happy now.
I don't feel sad when I miss an airdrop, you didn't know when it was done, so there shouldn't be a reason for regret, those that were lucky were the ones that were paid.

Let me burst your bubble, more than 60% of the testnet users weren't successfull to the airdrop because of some reasons the team stated. You were lucky you didn't participated otherwise you wouldn't have made any thing in the end and it will pain you more for not been eligible.

I doubt if it would be given here for security reasons though. Such an amount of money is a huge one in their currency and I believe they must have become millionaires in their currency since they already received their airdrop allocation. These days there are better testnet airdrops ongoing and many more to come, maybe the airdrop wave changed from telegram to testnet and so far, there have been lots of testimonies online of people who made good cash from testnet aidrop.
