How often do you participate in presale ?

Lately, the market have been unstable while some memecoins have been performing pretty well. As traders, we ought to have different strategies in preparation for whenever the market is unstable.

I’ve been looking into memecoins trade but considering its volatility and high risk, it would be a once-in-a-while thing. Coming across $WCT presale was a reminder, in the past years i participated quite a few times before stopping mid last year.

Personally, it was an approach that has always worked for me, i might jump on this and see how well it turns out until the market gets stable again but i would like to know if presale work for you and how often you do participate?

During the ICO years back in 2017, it worked for me but not after that bull run and that I didn't participate anymore.  During the 2018, there were so much scams in those pre-sale tokens where the tokens were launched on the exchanges that's sketchy.

I have not participated since that time. I think it only works when they time it on the bull season. If not, they'd rather stop and wait when the bull season begins.

There are some pre-sales that are more complicated to enter, that need a whitelist, or some NFT etc.

It was back in the days when presale was safe but now, scams are just everywhere and too good to be real. I don't participate in presales any more till the token get listed on exchange and is trading or they do their presales on a notable exchange only then I will be convinced of buying that token otherwise I would not bother involving myself because there are lots of scams everywhere now and you can hardly differentiate the scams from the genuine ones and this has causes many of their assets and funds.

A lot of scam projects are out there especially in this bull run and presale participations will be a waste of time, because you don't know who is behind the project. However, it's better to see the project listen on a reputable exchange before you go for it. Since you don't know the future of the coin don't rush in.

Any one joining Layer pre sale last several days ago? its looks very unique because most participants earn very small LAYER coins and looks unbelievable how much fund spending but reward allocated earn few coins only.
I think not worth it right for joining pre sale coins because when listing for pre sale at PINK sale website there are many scammer after their coins sold out developer run away and coins become scam without listing at market.
I just participants at launchpool between Binance or Bybit and Bitget exchange, not recommended yet when joining pre sale on own project website its self.

developers running away is the worse.  because these are the kind of scammers who can do it all over again countless times and i'm not gonna be surprised if they have done these before since the last cycle.

even if its launched in a reputable exchange i wouldn't be counting for its developer to behave like they won't be doing manipulation if their project turns out to be good. there seems to be a common insider practice every time.

You are right, presales these days is not as genuine as it used to be, scammers have virtually taken opportunity of the presale events to scam people and rugpull on investors after they had realised a good amount of money during their presales on DEX as they usually do were they can not be held or traced so quickly and easily.

These days the rugpull is so strategically planned that if you have not been into Crypto for long, you can not understand. You will just assume it to be the normal market reaction but in the reality, they  rugpulled and absconded with investors funds. Anyone doing presales ought just to be very careful and cautious about their investment and to also do a proper research before investing their money into any project on presales stage.

I participated in pre-sales and most of them did not worked out for me because I either joined them late in the hype because if a narrative is getting investors the first project should be the one we invest because it gives the most profit later the users increases and pool decreases thus sellers are more then buyers when TGE.

This is no good therefore we should be an early investors and must have a open mind to find the best project once we identify the narrative in hype. Things are open to us and in front of our eyes but we can't see them due to wrong projections.

It is not about simply participating in presale, it is about how successful or not the coin or project will be. You can participate in many presales and all the coins turn out to be shitcoins. Memecoins are pump and dump coins, i know many of you like to risk your money with them, but i am not sure it is really worth it, you have to be very lucky to ride on the hype and make money from a memecoin.

Ah, nothing, never did i risk my self to this kind of investment, i surely did invest on some ICO when it got listed way back then get profit after. But buyinf on its presale price? Never actually.

This is the reason i don’t participate on any random presale i come across, one needs to be extremely careful, wait till a reputable exchange endorse it before thinking of buying.

There are still few good options for instance, take a look at the comment that followed yours, he mentioned another potential one even though I wasn’t aware of its presale before it listed. As I would always say..the crypto market is unpredictable, keeping an open mindset is the best because there’s no one way to make it here.

Pre-sale is good; its a way to be an early bird on a project with a good future and potential. When it hits the market, there is a probability to make 10 times or even more profit.
But it will only happen if you happen to invest in the right project. I got burned investing in the wrong project in a presale, so when it comes to a presale, only invest what you can afford to invest. So many projects are full of deceit, and you never know until the presale is finished.

I participated for quite some time years ago, and it wasn’t really prosperous because I just lost the value that I purchased. It’s really not helping when there is crowdfunding for a token or something just because a lot of people have probably had their own way before the sale, so the tendency is that investors are buying in as the original or holders of that specific coin.

It’s finding that Gem that makes all the difference.
