I used to participate in pre-sales back in 2017'18 — had some success, was burned in few as well but nowadays I don't feel like participating in any, so I don't.
Pre sales can be tricky though, Though with LaunchX I got about 300% in fuel. I just checked for WCT ans the sale price is $0.2. with its utilities I'll say it could be a bargain

You are right, presales these days is not as genuine as it used to be, scammers have virtually taken opportunity of the presale events to scam people and rugpull on investors after they had realised a good amount of money during their presales on DEX as they usually do were they can not be held or traced so quickly and easily.

These days the rugpull is so strategically planned that if you have not been into Crypto for long, you can not understand. You will just assume it to be the normal market reaction but in the reality, they  rugpulled and absconded with investors funds. Anyone doing presales ought just to be very careful and cautious about their investment and to also do a proper research before investing their money into any project on presales stage.
I have experience lots of thing in these years on crypto like on the previous time we found good project on the forum bounty and now here not even a single project we found that is really authentic most of them were became scammers or they fail to sustain in market.
And even if we saw out of the forum we will also saw the same things like in recent telegram bot where we saw the airdrops I mean those telegram airdrop most of them were now below of their half of ATH. So trusting on the altcoin specially in the new altcoins is totally not wise decision for investment until you are a pro-analyst.

Any one joining Layer pre sale last several days ago? its looks very unique because most participants earn very small LAYER coins and looks unbelievable how much fund spending but reward allocated earn few coins only.
I think not worth it right for joining pre sale coins because when listing for pre sale at PINK sale website there are many scammer after their coins sold out developer run away and coins become scam without listing at market.
I just participants at launchpool between Binance or Bybit and Bitget exchange, not recommended yet when joining pre sale on own project website its self.

One has to be extremely cautious about buying coins on a random website because of scams. That’s why i only participate on those that have listed and also i didn’t participate in Layer presale, i wasn’t aware of it. You mentioned participating in Bitget launchpool, i heard LAYER launchpool is ongoing did you participate as well ?

i would like to know if presale work for you and how often you do participate?

Pre-sale is good; its a way to be an early bird on a project with a good future and potential. When it hits the market, there is a probability to make 10 times or even more profit.
But it will only happen if you happen to invest in the right project. I got burned investing in the wrong project in a presale, so when it comes to a presale, only invest what you can afford to invest. So many projects are full of deceit, and you never know until the presale is finished.

This is the reason i always advocate for DYOR, it seems we all tend to forget it these days. It’s well known there’re lot of scams out there and it’s also known that investing in presale is profitable, so investing in the presale of one particular project that has been thoroughly reviewed is better than investing in four random projects that no research has been conducted upon.

people might think that the more projects they invest in the more chances they will have of being successful in at least one of them well it seems like these people have underestimated just how useless a lot of projects are that the chances of being profitable in at least one of them is extremely slim already so better to just take your time and analyze as much as you can

I have contributed to pre-sale during the ICO hype season in 2017, then in the memecoin era, I only bought it when there was news of listing on a major exchange.. yes that only happened twice, namely on the $KOMA and $BOME coins, I had a bad experience when hunting for profit from memecoin, and that made me regret a little with what I expected before...

next if you really jump into memecoin, it would be better if you don't expect too much from memes... it's really a joke that only a few people can enjoy the big profits from meme volatility for the presale period or if in my case it was early adopters.

Actually, you have pointed out a bold thing here because I saw many times peoples were talking about their diversity in investment And think that what you have mentioned on your post.
But it is also true that it cannot be possible even if you make your investment on 1000 coin if you don't have the proper knowledge like the analysis you should do about the project before making any investment.

If they choose the projects carefully, more projects may give a chance of more profits. However, they shouldn't choose new projects because new projects are very difficult to predict. It is better to choose reputable coins from established projects. We have too many old projects that have proven their quality. It is just strange that many beginners/newbies choose new projects with unclear future. I assume many people only follow the hype, so they actually don't do serious analysis or research before they decide to invest in few coins/projects.

It is not about simply participating in presale, it is about how successful or not the coin or project will be. You can participate in many presales and all the coins turn out to be shitcoins. Memecoins are pump and dump coins, i know many of you like to risk your money with them, but i am not sure it is really worth it, you have to be very lucky to ride on the hype and make money from a memecoin.

I agree with you here, it is not about the participation but how successful was it. Did you as an investor benefit from your investment into the project? or you watched it dumped and could do nothing about it or they rug pull and made away with investors money because that has been the strategy they use now.  Benefiting from presales takes one to be very alert and up to the task of following up with the project otherwise it would be a sorry state for you as an investor in such a project.

I have not invested in any tokens in presales so far, especially ICOs or presales. If you invest here, there is a possibility that the investment will be scammed in most cases. Or if they do exchange listing, they do not list the exchange as promised, which is why the token has no value after entering the market. I have seen hundreds of such projects, most of which have disappeared from the market without any exchange announcement.

That is the reality today. Many projects arise but are very doubtful of their truth and only commit fraud, so that many are harmed.
There are many ways and modes used to attract investors, but what is done is to make investors lose and not return their capital, aka burden.
I think there are already many projects like this today with the aim of only raising funds and running away and disappearing.

If we talk in the past between 2018-2021, I probably participated in Presale or ICO very often because it was very profitable at that time.

What really made me successful on multiple ICOs or IDOs, buying with an allocation of $500 on a single Project at that time BSCPAD was a decentralized launch platform (IDO) for the Binance Smart Chain (BSC) network.

My $500 turned into about $85k in just 3 months and that became the peak of the hype of the decentralized launch back then.

With thousands of percent profits that I got, I was able to survive and build my portfolio at that time until now.

but there are also many Presale Projects that don't give any results and just disappear, many scams happen in the end.

i would like to know if presale work for you and how often you do participate?

I've never been a presale type of a guy. I like my investment more risk-free, so I rather invest in coins that are already in the market that I can analyze and see their charts history, and performance, and then make my decision whether I will go for it or not.

Presales and ICOs were profitable when they were new in the market, and projects that were doing them were more trustworthy and good. Nowadays, you can barely find a project that shows good potential so that you can buy their tokens/coins in the presale and hope that you might get a good value when the token finally gets listed.

So, for me, it's a no-no, and I would rather invest after it gets listed and see how it performs in the initial stage.

Last for years ago, I have good experienced when participating at pre sale project on our local exchange with my investing values around $1,4k success reach up to $10k with my coins pre sale price under $0.2 and up to $2k when listing at market. But I made big mistake keep holding half of my pre sale coins assets although have earn profitable up to x10 because my predicting with that coins have opportunity raise up more.
Lately coins was scam after decreasing drastically and right now have drop more than x10 from pre sale price, its difficult return back to higher price.
